i was wondering if people liked the bassball bat in gta III or the knifes in gta vc?

I love the baseball bat in GTA3, I like to whack some Cartels with it. :D Don't really use the knife much in VC.
Baseball Bat. The knive isn't effective enough.

well, its attack power is a lot lower, but i think its a lot funnier. the way he slashes people, especially their faces.

Lol, yeah its like in a horror movie when a serial killer slashes a victim, although its scary in the movie, its funny in VC when Tommy slashes peds with the knife, but I never seen slash people in the faces.
But with the Katana sword, now thats funny, he slices off their heads, sometimes if you notied, he slices off their too. :D I hope in San Andreas, they have at some point when you get the Katana sword, you can actually slice a ped in half, might get a little bloody, though.

you know what i miss? the dismembering of limbs in gta3. now in vice city it only happens to heads...
in gta3 it was more funny. :(

Exactly, because in some ways (if you think about it) GTA3 is better than Vice City, but also in some ways Vice City is better than GTA3 as well so they're quite the same. I actually do miss the limbs that you can take off in GTA3, I hope in GTA4 you can take a Spaz-12 shotgun and shoot someone's arm off and it lands on the ground. I mean, come on think of the possibilites (I just want a baseball bat though :D ).

I agree, just 2 slashes and the person your trying to kill is dead and its more bloody than the baseball bat, almost as bloody as it is with the chainsaw except blood doesn't go all over the screen.
The knife isn't better, only if it stab someone in the chest. It slashes 2 times, and only after that it's lethal. The baseball bat is just, hit, fall on the ground, hit dead. knife is slash, fall on the ground, kick, kick again, dead.

the bat is technically better, without the chance of stabbing someone with a one-hit kill.
they both do 21 damage by default.
bat has 2 range while knife has 1.8.
bat has 0.8 radius while knife is 0.5.
but i like the knife better still. :p

Well, I always keep the bat in my possession as one of my weapons. I like to carry it with me when I go into the subways at night, since they say its kinda dangerous there at night. In the subway, when theres no cops around on their patrol route, I like to take out my bat and whack someone and pick-pocket their money. :D
The bat looks more dangerous. If you walk really slow with it.... Especially wih GTA3

Yeah, I hate the Ruger, I like thre M4A1 better. :D
But anyway, my favorite mellee weapon willl always be the bat, I even have a bat in real-life and its a silver metal bat that I keep for protection, but I don't hit or whack anyone with it like I do in GTA3, of course. That would be considered assault and battery wth a deadly weapon. ;)
The ruger looks dangerous because it's a bigger gun. I'd say that MP5 is weaker than the ruger, because it's smaller. But it's not. :evil:
i think the ruger is not weaker than the mp5, i think they're both even good
no. Shoot someone with the MP5, you'll need something like 3 bullets, unlike the ruger. I don't know howmuch, I never use him.
o i always thought that they were the same.

Haven't you ever heard that size doesn't matter? Look at the Colt Python, thats a really small gun and its quite powerful, you only need one shot to kill someone.

yeah, but it sometimes bugs.
get someone running away. shoot their back, and sometimes they dont die.
to clear up the ruger/mp5 issue - mp5 and ruger have the same damage rating, ruger has twice as long range, both have same firing rate, but ruger takes twice as long to reload.
so theyre practically equal. i like the longer range better, but mp5 just sounds cooler and plus its a submachine gun so you can run with it.

You can always sprint with the MP5 right? That's the submachine gun from the Downtown Ammunation right? Then you should be able... Even run while shooting. (running is something else than sprinting)

The Katana has a good 'feature' that you can rip heads off. That sound, when you hit someone's head.... nasty! I like it

The baseball is better, it's not as powerful as the knife but it's funner beating someone rather than slashing at them.

That would be nice, Manhunt is a really good example of gorey games because of the excessively violent ways you can kill an enemy.

Knife is better for me since you can have straight one-hit kills with it like slashing a peds head off right away, jabbing it through the stomach or slicing a peds arm off.

The best melee weapon in my opinion is the hammer because it gives that satisfying *DING* noise.
The night-stick is BY FAR the best mêlée weapon in the game.

I like to put on the outfit used for robbing the bank (located in the Malibue Club) and then getting a big knife. Then stroll down the avenue hacking peds left and right like some Monster Movie Serial Killer (see Michael Myers). heh heh
My fav are the brass knuckles. Nothing like the sound of that "CLANK" when you hit a ped upside their head!

The .357 is a good weapon too. One Shot packs a wallop. However ya have to reload after 6 rounds.
