View Full Version : Where would you you live, Vice City or Liberty City?

I was browsing the Forums and I was thinking, lets say you had the opportunity to choose between a city you would live in, what city would that be? Present-time (year 2000) Liberty City or Past-time (1986) Vice City.
For example, the city i would rather live in would be Liberty City. Liberty City is somewhat like Los Angeles, except a little more dangerous and its usually a very darkened city. Also, Liberty city is divided into 3 large islands and it seems to be a lot bigger with Shoreside Vale as the last island.
The part of LC I would live in would be Salvatore's Mansion, first I'd kill him a second time if he didn't die in the mission "Seyonara Salvatore" and get rid of almost all of the Maifa Brothels and I got myself a new mansion, not as big as Vice City's Mansion (Diaz's Mansion, I mean) but I llike the way the mansion in GTA3 is isolated from all the other houses, so no one can trespass.
BTW: I would have put San Andreas as a choice but since it hasn't released yet as the next GTA game, I figured we wouldn't have a choice of living cause we don't know what SA is like.
I'd like Vice City more, cause it's less dark than Liberty City, a better atmosphere, Nice weather.... Nice vehicles, And less mafia. If you walk outside Salvatore's mansion, You'll be shot in just a few seconds. And the Cartels, Yakuza, Traids, Diablos, Hoods, Nines... Too many mafia to take a walk with the dog. Vice City only has two active gangs.

Liberty for sure!!!! Vice is sort of booooooring compared to liberty gangwise...!
You could get up around one in the afternoon walk outside a bust a few caps...

cubans, haitians, streetwannabes, pigs, vercettis, bikers, cops, and i think 1 more.
those are considered gangs by the game.
look at the liberty city 2004 project that will transform vice city to liberty city.

There are more gangs in Vice City than the Cubans and the Haitians, where as Liberty's gangs can beat VC's gangs.

well i think i would pick vice city over liberty because there is the beach and a lot of hot ladies :)

A Liberty City, 2004 Mod? Wow but wouldn't it be almost the same as the 2000 Liberty City?

i dont know. lc2004 is just putting it into vice city i think. ive never heard of 2000 liberty city.

Well, you do own your own Mod Shack and even if you had completed the Liberty City 2004 mod, I wouldn't be able to use it since I only have GTA: VC for Playstation 2.

Yeah, I know its better for PC, the graphics are better, you can mod, except I'm not used to the controls. I like using Dual Controls for all GTA games.

i use a controller for vice city most of the time. my computer is like ps2 but better stuff ;)

Actually, there are and I always pick up a hooker when low on health....what happens in that car after picking up a hooker is every man's dream. :D

The only kind of vehicles/cars the hookerss tay away from are law enforcement/emergency vehicles like police cars and ambulances and they also stay away from taxis, but they don't stay away from mules, maybe I should try that in GTA3 sometime. :D I mean, I want some fun too. ;)

no, but the more expensive cars get them in a lot faster than cheap old cars/vans/trucks like the mule.
i think the cheetah is the highest priced, so it gets them the fastest. same with an admiral. i got 3 at once with that too :D

I prefer the Sentinel, yep the good ole' Sentinel, I like the Sentinels from both GTA3 and VC, great car and its not really that crappy, you can get a hooker or two in that car. :D
how can you get 3 whores in one car?!?!?! Does your health gets up faster then?

sentinel is good too. its one of the more classy cars. try sentinel xs for more of a chance :)

Yes, the Sentinel XS is much more classy and expensive than the regular Sentinel, I got a blue Sentinel, though, to attract the hookers, its like a hooker magnet. :D

BTW: Vice city is much better than gta 3 because of the lovely colors and it's much more fun.
It's not more fun, GTA3 has those lovely hills, where you can do some insane jumps, and more mafia to kill, so you always have the choise to do something:D
yes that's true, the maffia is better in gta3 and those hills are nice to jump.
but vice city is more colourful and you can do more things.
Yes, I like to go to the Bank from 'The Job' and pick up the money upstairs. You'll get 4 wanted starts immediatly. yeah

Yeah, so Vice City has a lot more to do, but you'll start to run out of fun things to do real quick.
I still like GTA3 more, I dont care who doesn't like it, I still like it more than Vice. I mean, I like Vice City also I just play GTA3 more than GTA: VC, I'm even playing GTA3 right now. :D
yes that's fun. Or that you can fly with a helicopter or a seaplain.
GTA3 has only cars. Thats the thing that I dislike.
@John Connor, The things you can do in Vice City are getting boring indeed. But that'll happen to all the games probably

I would live in Vice City rather than Liberty City. VC is so much more alive, however, Liberty City is dark and dull.

Samething with me, I practically played the game for at least 4 hours straight because of how dark and corrupt the city looked, I felt like I was in a dangerous place ready to be shot. :violent:

I like both of the games for different reasons, I like GTA3 because its just like New York, i mean come on, its the figurehead of all crime!, what with the Mafia and all, i also like GTA3's cars better, the '80's style cars are too boxy. You've also got Fido, your loveable nameless mute gangster. I like Vice City because you can do more stuff, I would like to see the Vice City gameplay in GTA3, that would be awesome! They should make a new GTA in Baltimore, there would be so much drugs!, and bring back Fido!!!!!:violent: But overall id say i like Vice City better, because of the gameplay.

liberty has more gangs it has more modes of transport including a train and a subway train so liberty city is my favourte city of the 2

Liberty City is good for the crime and Vice City is good for the brightness.
I would like to own the Malibu club and live in the buildings next to it. That would be cool
Liberty city is way too dangerous I think, I better stick with Vice City.

I would like to live in liberty because of the mafia family's and the other organasation's and it looks like new york, but still i go with vice city because of the beach,tha playas, tha hot girlz, tha drug business is stronger, and the cars and the malibu , and the pole position club...hehe... but thats just my opinion.. Vice City 4 ever man

too many people trying to kill you (mafia, cartel especially) that have powerful guns. you cant drive anywhere without getting shot up. at least in vc they have pistols only.

I would like to live in Vice City because your more least likely to get killed because like billy boy said there are way more mafia people in Liberty City than in Vice City

you mean for 100%? .. well.. that's nothing.. only the stat.
For beating the last mission (The Exchange) you get $1.500.000, but since you gotta pay $500.000 for that mission it's one million.

Vice City - Because of the weather, the scenery, the decadence, the bikes and whirlies, the ho's, sailing near the beach in the evening, the atmosphere and the fact that its 1986 over there!
I like the whole chilled out vibe in VC, and the subculture of crime, booze, drugs and decadance. Plus its nice to be able to walk down the street for 11 seconds without somebody capping at you!

Liberty City. It was bigger and had more specialty buildings like the stadium, college, dam, church, cemetary, etc. And it was seddier, I liked that.
