The Next GTA

Of course, im a "newb" to this forum, as people like to say, but I'm not a "newb" to the GTA series. Just clarifying things :)

Anyways, I strongly believe that the next GTA will take place in San Andreas as Zidane said on his site how it's all going in order: Liberty City, Vice City, and then San Andreas.

Also, web site URL's have already been purchased by R* that contain San Andreas in there somewhere. So with this evidence, I believe it will take place in San Andreas, as my friend thinks it will take place in Las Vegas (Grand Theft Auto: Sin City)

As in news wise, when they will release official info on the next GTA, I'd say it will be this year, definetly. As people like to believe, "D193SA" (found on the VCN Maverick in GTA VC) is refering to "December 19, 2003 San Andreas"....and I'm one of those believers. I don't think this will be a release for the game, but I think this will be the release on the first official info for the game, unless it's purely coincedental, but I doubt it because it fits together perfectly, and it's also on the side of a NEWS chopper. So put two and two together, and you got the release date on the first official info for the game.

Well, those are my thouhts, what do you all think?

My thoughts about the release of info are that it will happen next summer.

Dang, then that means this year is a no-show for any info on GTA San Andreas, but by mid-2004 Rockstar should be halfway through the game

I think info will come during winter, more during Spring, and the game will come out around November of 2004.

A year? Ha! Its worth it (at least for me) I figured that it was going to to release sometime around 2005, though, but i guess i was wrong. If it releases late 2004, I will be happy :D, because I'm pretty sure i can wait that long. Because it might relases in November as HarroSIN had said, we'll have to start playing new video games until the next GTA releases (just to keep us busy and patient), thats what I'm doing. ;)

its not going to be perfect. nothing is perfect...

but i know it will be better. rockstar has done consistently well on all gta titles. the next should be no exception.

Thats right, GTA: SA probably won't be perfect because it will be like GTA: VC and GTA3, which both didn't really get boring, they just got a little old but thats not what I say about GTA, but anyway the only way GTA: SA will be perfect will be as if it never gets old or boring, which is impossible because a video game always get boring and old after a while, it just takes time.

I Doubt it will be out for the PS2 the way it's going, maybe when they finish it, it will be a title for the PS3. But i hope it's finished by October next year. The game will hopefully be more polished up than GTA VC, Because despite the lovely graphics, it still needs to be polished!

Damn, So that means that we have to wait for another year?!? Then I really expect something from R*. Vice City took a year or something like that. Two years is pretty long. The game must be really good then.

besides the whole copyrighting issue, think about it, you see other games get permission to use real cars in their games from the car companies, but the thing is, most of those games are racing games, I don't think car companies will want to let a highly criticized gaming series such as GTA use their cars, it wouldn't look good for them

Also if you notice in racing games the licensed cars are never damaged because the car companys do not want their cars shown like that.

yeah, good point. they suffer pain each time they see a gamer make a mistake (accidental or intentionally) and ruin their precious babies...

Lets just say forget the real cars they wont do it, you can only get real cars in the game with mods.

it's a possibility they could have it, though i think hell will freeze over first personally. and in regards to the comment about damage to cars in racing games. it's not because the company's don't want there cars seen all banged up at all, it's because of the extra amount of time and money as well as disk space needed to create realistic damage. i've seen racing games where cars take some damage but not much and it looks bogus. plus racing games have way more to focus on such as physics and sound.

They do use real cars but not real names and the modify them a bit.

you mean how some of the cars look like real cars? well it would be kinda hard to design cars that don't look anything like the cars that have come out.....unless you got crazy with the design

right back to the beginning of this topic...maybe that was the proposed release date...then they decided to add better features to the X-box double pack, which slowed down game progress...?

It's cool when you find cars which you've never seen before in games, its more exciting than real cars

Hey, man, if on the vcn-mav it says d193sa, but it's 2004 already and no official press release is out. I guess if it's any signifficant date, it may be the copyringt date, of site-buying date or something if anything. Plus, if you want real names to cars, try modding. I don't care about car names, because I can mod then to real names.
P.S.
For any other hints, search in radio stations and textures, b/c in an interview of some football guy on radio, he mentioned playing vs san andreas, so there may be some other hints.

When GTA: San Andreas comes out it'll probrably be on PS3 and i only got the PS2 yesterday and the PS3 comes out next year probrably and i'll be behind in fashion AGAIN

Thats why i say : Stick with the PC. You only fall behind fashion if you don't upgrade (which is cheap).

Yeah! real hardore gamers stick w/PC, best games on PC, just buy a Dell XPS, or Alienware Area 51 laptop, or the Falcon box, cheapest of all - Frag Box, only close to 1000 and so small. Plus, you can play ALL PC games! They should put GTA: SA FIRST on PC, then try PS3/XBOX(2?). Anyway, PC. I still play my Wolfenstein 3D 'cause I just plain love it! I think all games should come on PC first, I so want to play GTA-like games, but neither True Crime or Getaway are on PC (they making Getaway2 already and skipped PC completely! Damn nazis!)! Keep on w/PC, just keep upgrading. Cheaper to buy the new 3DFX card for $150 instead of $300 for new PS3, then D-load GTA:SA for free and not pay the $50. PC is just cheaper.....

yeah but people are always talking about PS2 in school never PC, i started out with pc to begin with because i had Max Payne, Sim City 1,2,3 & 4, hotel giant and all the age of empres & mythologys. then i wanted a PS2 so i got one.

@master: no need to double post, and the gta 3 guy is another thread. Also, people talk just as much about PC if not more than PS2 because PC has a wider range and is more customisable.

try installing it differently (different settings) or upgrade parts of your PC

I think it should come out on PC 1st because as Colonel V said it is a PC classic GTA1 and GTA2 were on PC 1st so they should have carried on startin on PC and then movin 2 consoles but on the other hand its better coming on PC after consoles because then they can fix bugs and make it better

yeah i like playing pc games because the levels are longer, but i cant anymore, i can only play games with directX 8.0 or lower, so now i have to play them on PS2
