View Full Version : .RAR files and general modding for san andreas

-The files dowloaded from some ohter websites only download as .RAR files and i do not know what to do with them to install. I only know how to use the IMG. or mod installer. should i download the Garage Mod Manager
-also, everytime i have installed mods (like vehichles) then i start to load San Andreas, it gets about halfway and freezes in the loading screen. then i will remove the mods and it still freezes so i have to reinstall the game to work correctly
-The only thing i have got to work are tools
-please send me an email of what you think
- .rar is an archive file in which necessary modding files are compressed. Winrar (google for it please) is used to extract them out from this file.
- Is your game 2nd edition?

- ok i have the WinRAR file etractor and it works. should i extract them to a seperate folder and then use the mod installer to open and install them from that folder? it would be more organized that way, right
- im not too smart so how do i tell if its the second version.
does it have to do with being rated adult because of the content unlike the mature rated version
(just wondering if that is it??)

Because modding is disabled in 2nd edition; Whenever you try to mod it, the game freezes.

-how can i get the first version??? is the a website where i can download it?? or do i have to buy it.. how do i know if it is the first version for certain??

can iget gta san andreas v1 scripts and exe files?? dose anyone have a link to a site that would have this?
how would i replace them, just overite them
A downgrade patch is available. I dont have the exact link, but I saw it in mta:vc forums.
