For anyone who has v2.0 and cannot install any mods I may have good news for you. I was lookin' around trying to find a conversion patch or the v1.0 files to get some mods on SA and I found this Crash Fix Patch]v.10 Crash Fix (http://m0002.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_gta_san_a ndreas.shtml#GTA: San Andreas v1.0 [ALL)

I installed it by following its simply written instructions and then started up my copy of SA, which by the way now runs without the DVD, with one vehicle mod and it paused for a second on the load screen right in the middle but went right on upto the new game movie. I was amazed and thought " Holy sh!t I found and patch/conversion/thingy that actually works. I installed and few more mods like the off road suburban, the DFT dumper, two motercycles and then I noticed that the cars and time were starting to get a little odd. At first it was only the cars, they would speed up alittle when you were driving but then slowed down and stayed, I thought it was just a little glitchy from the mods. Soon after that the cars and time were going irradic and speed up to unbelievible speeds and stoping, cars aroudn me were glitching forward, CJ was also glitching forward. The glitchyness and time would speed up then slow down in some areas and when I would walk, but now its like crazy fast all the time.

So I wanted to tell everyone that there is a partially, sort of conversion for v2.0 to a 1.0 or 1.1. If anyone has any idea about what to do other than give up and sell/throw away my copy of v2.0 and hunt for v1.0/1 please give me and the other hopeless saps that have v2.0 some insight.

You didn't really find anything new, I've know about theese they've been out for awhile, just that some (most) of them are not legal, because its downloading straight files from v1 and taking it to v2, but meh.

There's conversions circling the internet now.http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15151

I suggest you visit that site everyday, the link is down right now, but they're currently fixing that.

- I had not seen anyone on this forum say much about patch fixes working as a kind of conversion so sorry for maybe giving a false image. Also No-DVD patches were never mentioned much on here, or at least I had not seen much of their discussion ( probably because most are illegal).
Also I do not care if these files are illegal because I feel I have the right to do what I want to do to my personally owned property and if others will "crack" and "patch" with illegal ways then so be. I will use their files to get what I want in my game. ( I dont have any issues on your views of illegal content, I have mine too and respect yours at the same time.)

Thank you both for some insight. Static, I will check frequently to see if the link comes back up and hopefully I will have a working conversion.
