I've been tinkering around with SA's sound today, and decided, since I play as a character that looks like me, it'd be neat to try and have him sound like me aswell. This is just a little test, though, not everything has been re-voiced. So far, all I have done is 1-14 = QUICK BREATHING
15-25 = COUGHING
26-34 = DEFEATED
35-40 = UNDERWATER (NO OXYGEN)
41-64 = REGULAR PAIN
65-79 = FALLING
80-87 = ON FIRE
88-122 = REGULAR PAIN 2
123-134 = BREATHING
135-144 = VOMITING
145-156 = CLIMBING (LIFTING WEIGHTS)
157-163 = CLIMBED (LIFTED WEIGHTS)
164-169 = BREATHING WHILE EMERGING FROM WATER

That's all, basically. Just wondering what you guys think. If I have some spare time later I might try to re-do all of the voices for the player, (minus the story/cutscenes of course). If you wanna try it out, you can get it <<here (ftp://ftp.gtagaming.com/sanandreas/PAIN_A.zip).>> Oh yeah, you might wanna change your character too. ;p

Just go into your game's audio directory, and in the SFX folder, replace the PAIN_A file with the one in the zip.

Have you heard them in the game? I'm sure it takes lots of time to get them to sound right.

Cool idea though.

Yeah I tried them in game. They work pretty decently for a first attempt, but already I see a couple of volume issues on a few of the files. Thanks for the comment. :)

Sounds effin good Zidane.

Whenever GTA: LVS comes out, you should be the voice for the main character.

Very good idea imo, I was actually thinking of something like that myself. And with you being a voice actor n' all, it would probably turn out pretty well. The best of luck to ya.

Very original idea, I don't think anyone's actually released a mod like this before. I'll try this out as soon as I feel like it, probably this weekend sometime :p

Good job <3

Alright, with everything going on in my life right now there's just no way I can finish this for San Andreas or re-do my old Vice City version, though I did at least finish the series of "pain" and "drowned" sounds for the player in GTA3. the main character can be changed to a somewhat creepy version of me for gta3 (modified San Andreas character) if you don't want to use Claude's model.

Heh I dunno about finishing up the SA ones, there's so many, besides there's no standard character changer for the game, so... yeah. ;p

Yeah it does. I might finish the San Andreas version, so when MTA comes out we can use an alternative voice for the player, since we'll be able to play as peds.
