Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
wat the hell does that mean? and how can i fix it???
The error is caused when there are bad sectors at a spot where a file is supposed to be. I think you were trying to install it from a burnt CD. Get the original CD, then install it.

...no, its the game CDs i got when i bought it from walmart. there any way to, maybe download the sound files? i dont wanna hafta throw away my game just cause of some corrupted/damaged/fecked up sound files

Try installing the game without the radio stations - it'll just run them off the CD. If you can't even get that far in the installation, take it back to walmart and exchange it for another copy. It's probably just a dodgy CD.

thanks mod-man. one question, how can i turn off the installation of those radio stations?
During installation, you'll get the option whether to install with Radio Stations or not.

I just tried to install VC again with the option checked for the audio to be installed and when it came time to put in the second cd in for the audio, basically the installation froze. Then I tried it again, with the button unchecked and it went fine, but I forgot that I had the volume on mute.
why would the install freeze up like that?
