View Full Version : GTA --> 3dsMAX
Hello, I'm not a huge fan of the GTA series, and have only played it a few times. However I have in my possesion a few models from GTAVC and I would like to import them into 3dsMAX. Is this possible? What MAX Script exists to do this kind of conversion?

not experienced with 3dsMAX. Just curious what games you've played. Also, it's hard to imagine anybody saying "i'm not a huge fan of the series"....what's the deal?

I *think* you will need to import then into zmodeller with the .dff plugin and then export them as a 3ds file, then import them in 3dsMAX. As far as I'm aware there isn't a way to import them directly.
Alright, is ZModeller free? Where can I get this pluggin? Does there happen to be a more extensive tutorial on how to use the ZModeller's import feature? If no could you maybe give me a 1,2,3 on how to do what you suggested? Thanks.
Im not a huge fan because I've never fully played it. I only wanted to view the graphics.

that's odd....well you need to play the game fully in order to enjoy the graphics and the content.

I never wanted to play the game. I mod Warcraft III and am currently making a FPS Halo mod for it. I wanted to export some of the GTA weapons and load them as easter egg weapons.

well there's your problem...you're missing out on SO much! HIGHLY reccomended series!

If you need tools or converters go to google.com and type the files extension then click on the search button and maybe you will find some good tools.
