Modding Questions

Hey all, I'm new to this, just asking a few questions.

1. Should I mod items before having any saved files? I have the 100% saved file and a regular svaed file already [not far along yet].

2. With some mods and tools, they replace ingame vehicles. There is a tool that allows you to configure the Handling of a vehicle, if I configure the listed vehicle will it transfer to the Modded replacement?

3. Are there any rea me texts that I can look at before downloading any of the Tools like IMG Tool 2.0 and Ultimate Editor? I fooled around with it yesterday and something broke lol. I just want to know how to work it before I got playing around with them.

1. your current save will work with any mod as long as you don't edit the main.scm file

2. check HERE (http://www.gtagaming.com/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=956) for a handling editor

3. as far as the readme for the IMG tool and Ultimate editor, that all depends on the kind of mod your installing, look at the readme's included with the mods you download, most of them tell you all ya need to know
