Here it is, THE machinima creation tool for GTA Vice City: Vice Studios, v1.2! Weighing in at a mere 130kb (zipped), this interface does it ALL.

Vice Studios, version 2.0 (http://www.pedsvideo.com/mod/ViceStudios2_0.zip) (Updated!)

Check out the READ ME (http://www.pedsvideo.com/mod/README.txt), the GAME KEYS (http://www.pedsvideo.com/mod/GAMEKEYS.txt) and the QUICK START GUIDE. (http://www.pedsvideo.com/mod/QUICKSTART.txt)

Features include:
- Dead easy installation, does not replace or alter ANY game files
- Create and animate up to ten peds and two cars
- Set follow states for peds/cars, now includes over 150 different peds/actors to choose from
- Set and freeze the in-game clock
- Set the weather
- Exclusive Vice Studios Text Helper, for assitance in creating and setting properties
- over 20 different animations available for ped groups 1, 2 and 3. Four ped groups have their own keys
- A HUGE Read Me file which covers just about every control available (and there are a TON)
- Included GAMEKEYS text file and QUICK START GUIDE

It is HIGHLY recommended that you remap your player game keys. Here's why:

6) FAQ

- "I press SPRINT (or some other in-game action key) and a letter key and the
game crashes! What gives?"

Read the section above entitled 4b) ANIMATING PEDS. You CAN NOT have any game keys mapped to the MODIFIERS listed in that section (LEFT SHIFT, LEFT CONTROL, etc). If you do, and you have a letter key as another in-game action key, you will crash, end of story. This is because the mod (and the game) can not tell if a ped or car is created or not, so it crashes to the desktop. The good news is that this is almost ALWAYS a Unhanded Exception error, which (at least on my system) is just a dump to the desktop with an error box.

Happy filming!

Of course, to see the PEDS web series, head over to PEDS Website (still being worked on, but episodes are on the front page) (http://www.pedsvideo.com)

Version 1.2 is now available; see the post above for the link. Added "Special Actors" such as Lance Vance, Ken Rosenburg, Diaz and the rest, including all player models. You "should" be able to now film using custom player skins.

Also added controls to have a ped enter a car as a passenger; see GAMEKEYS.txt.

Have fun! :Peace:

Nice update this time...

Vice Studios 2.0 (http://www.pedsvideo.com/mod/ViceStudios2_0.zip)

08/21/05 - Version 2.0, Sixth build.
- Added all ped/car/gang zones. This means all peds/cars/gangs appear in the proper places as originally defined by the game (thanks to Barton Waterduck, who made the "Stripped Complete" script that I based this on.)
- Added all regular game interiors and a couple of extras. Enterable locations are:
- Ocean View Hotel
- Vercetti Mansion
- El Corrupto Banco
- North Point Mall
- Pole Position Nightclub
- Cafe Robina (Umberto's Cafe)
- Rifle Range (Downtown Ammunation)
- Hyman Condo Stairs
- VCPD HQ (Washington Beach)
- Malibu Nightclub
- Apartment 3C (off a side street in Ocean Beach)
- Auntie Poluet's House (NEW - where you get the Haitian missions)
- Concert Hall (NEW - where Love Fist has it's concert, downtown)
- The Greasy Chopper (NEW - where you get Mitch's biker missions)
Ken's office, the V-ROCK Studio and Printworks can only be viewed using cutscenes, so we won't be seeing these ones. In some locations, you can see "Blue Hell"; this is because I haven't yet figured out how to load the 3D objects (windows, doors, etc). I DID find Sonny's room from the Intro Cutscene (just off Tommy's room at the Ocean View hotel, oddly enough), but it doesn't have a floor, so it's unusable.

Good stuff here. I got all of the peds/cars/gangs where the oughta be, so we won't see anymore Packers on the Beach, and no more skaters at Leaf Links. Not that there's anything WRONG with that...

I also added all the playable interiors, except for the Race Tracks. There's also three new playable interiors that are normally only accessable during missions.

Next up: Figure out to use DEFINE OBEJCTS to load things like windows, gates, other misc. game objects. And maybe do that little teleporter too...

Have fun!
