Afford to mod with 3DS Max 7 it's price is really steep, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a free trial version I could use.

Click "3D Studio Max" under the Free Trials column on the left. It's for 30 days only.
I received my copy of 3D Studio Max 7 from a club I am in at school... so I didn't pay anything for it, which is nice :)
