Sex appeal can negate the body type requirments for the girls. So if she normaly likes fat guys and you have a very high sex appeal you can be skinny.

Yep, m52nickerson is correct. Low sex appeal means you will probably have to meet the body requirements of the girlfriend, unless you're lucky. A good sex appeal makes it easier to date girlfriends.

What actually determines the Sex Appeal? It seems to go up and down from time to time, and I can never quite work out how or why.

Your clothes play a small role in Sex Appeal. If you collect Oysters, you can improve your Sex Appeal. Also, drive nice cars to that girlfriend's house. If you get out of the car, your Sex Appeal jumps very high and only lasts for a minute or two. Run over and pick up your girlfriend in that time frame.

dadadoom is right except for the part about time. It is not time after you leave the car, it is proximity. You keep the sex appeal bost until you get to far away from the car.
