hi,
im just wondering how i can enter airports as all the ticket machines on all the 3 airports are out of order. how do i get in the buildings?

You cannot actually get in the airports. The ticket machine I suppose would be unlocked after you do a certain mission etc. in the game. I do not know which one though.
They unlock when you unlock the different islands.

Why use the ticket machines? I mean,if your intent is to use the planes,get into the airport and fly them yourself! That's what I do,and it's much more fun than to just sit in a plane and get off at your destination!

I guess you could use it before you do this plane school missions and if you're too lazy to fly around in closed space for 40 minutes.

Out side the airport at the front doors.
