I had my hopes up for a while yesterday, i was really hoping we were getting vB 3.X

vB 3, well, the style, isn't too good aside from the security update. The style of vB 2 is way better, at least to me.

Yeah. MySQL server was down. There must have been an error in it. Main thing is they fixed it.

You didn't get banned. If you were banned it would say something about you don't have permission to see this page or something when you try to access the forums.

I think the MySQL server just threw a wobbly. It's been a bit shaky for a few days, then yesterday and a bit of the day before it just died. i think all is well now though.

And no, it wasn't a vBulletin upgrade.

Still kinda sucks IMO. Most sites only ever go down when the server needs to restart, and even then it'll be down for 2 minutes tops.

I was introduced to vB with version 3.0.7, so I don't know if 2 is more nice, although version 2 seems to fit our needs here.

The reason why Shawn won't update to 3.07 is because he has done so much to this one by coding and integrating the EdgeID's into the forum. Why would he upgrade and lose it all?

Would be a hell lot of job, wouldn't it? I don't really know about the big differences between 2 and 3, but all the edgeID and stuff, it's completely made by Shawn, isn't it?
