As you know in GTA3 there was a tunnel that never opened,well maybe it was a tunel that lead to the other islands.I hope it open,What do you think

You could be on to something. That would be great thing they could add to the game.
Let's wait for the game to be released. I hope that, the mystery of that tunnel should be revealed.

That tunnel (in GTA 3) led to emptyness, but the map showed some bizarre place names. You could only get to it by flying the dodo through it, but apparently using the tank and the flying cars cheat you could do it aswell.

well, they could always move the tunnel,maybe it will lead to ghost town?

only time will tell i guess...
if you fly out there there, on the map, you'll find a few towns on the both side of the tunnel.
these are:
Aaronsville, Woodcounty, Obbeburgh, Garystown, Chris's Town , Les county and Adamton.

wow, cool find, i say i hope it is revealed.
You can easily visit those towns by just flying through the mountain.

My guess would be that it was the tunnel leading out of LC to Carcer City. Thats the only plausable reason I think. I wonder if it will all look the same, the city I mean. I hope they mostly leave it the same but change a few things, like that building that was under construction near you hideout in Staunton Island? I hope thats built now.

the building is the staunton plaza, theres a mod that replaces the construction site with the plaza and boy its a high plaza
and btw, I thought the towns like aaronsville and all that were just names on the map... or are there accually houses and buildings on them?

Aaronsville, and suchlike are just easter eggs which were added to the game by Rockstar North's employees.
They are only located on the map, and they are not actual houses or buildings.
I sure hope that the tunnel is revealed in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
It would be really good if they could also make the Ghost Town solid too.
And...maybe add some countryside to Les County, Woodcountry, and such.

I tried this asif and it led to nowhere. I went through the mountain like you said, but behind it is just like 200 yards of water and then blue wall. No town names or anything.

If, you proceed a few more metres, you will see a path(indicated by red line in the pic), actually thats the tunnel.

Just Go along the path, you'll get those towns(in the pic, you can see the names of few of them, Christ's town, gary's town etc. etc. ).

Oh, I never checked the radar for names. I thought they would show up like the other island names in green letters on the bottom right hand cornenr of the screen. Thanks for explaining that.

im actually thinking the tunnel will be finished. where it leads, i dont know. i also think that building (staunton plaza) will be completed too. that would mean gta is going back into the 2000's (current time). that would be great! ive been waiting a long time for gta game to be current.

uumm, i screwed up.of course it wont be open,Cj was in liberty city ,in the 1990s,Ant then came back to los santos,Gta 3 took place in 2000.

The game's not necessarily going to follow CJ's exploits. It could be new a character alltogether.

There was. It was a pic of CJ in Liberty pictures on a PSP which was fake.
Here's What I Want:
Year: 2004
Radio Station Names: Head Radio(Playing modern rock), Chatterbox(Still with Lazlow), Flashback 95.6(80's Music), Radio Alternative(Playing modern rock, grunge), Some Kind of rap station(not sure on name), Radio Liberty City(Playing basicly all kinds of genres), FAGG FM(Playing sexual music, like Master Sounds), K-DST(Clasic Rock), LCTR(Liberty City Talk Radio), Lips 106(Top 40 station). Oh, custum soundtracks are a must.
Tunnel should be open leading to a "quiet" suburban town, very modern, sub developments. Staunton Plaza should be open and enterable. The airport should be enterable. The subway shal now extend to the suburban town, which shal be called Yuppie Heights.
There should be some kind of commercial advertising a show like The Apprentice, making fun of it, with Darald Frump. There should be some big names in music in the game, like System Of The Down, Franz Ferdinand, Modest Mouse, Beck, Nirvana, STP, AC/DC, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Offsping, etc.
Well, that just my input for it for now. I'll add more later.

Woah Woah my friend, i can now say that some of those things wont happen.
First off, since its liberty city they will be returing back to the original 9 stations, also since this isnt exactly a big game for rockstar (not as much production, money, etc), i wouldnt expect big name music, maybe just the "Made Up" music like on stations Head Radio, Lips 106, Special Mixes like on Rise FM and MSX, a few rap songs off one record label like Game FM, Double Cleff, K-Jah (gta3 version) and Flashback.
Although the custom soundtracks does sound nice, this could be done by possibly putting music on a memory stick duo in MP3 format, then an extra radio station appears in-game (like the PC version).
Since the PSP has only got 1.8GB to play with, they wont be expanding Liberty that much, GTA3 on ps2 could be easily fitted onto a 700MB Disc by cutting out some of the radio stations and using some tool.
Now they will be using the same map, and just expand certain things (like maybe construction sites now finished, etc), there should be enough space to open the tunnel up and make a solid "Ghost Town", which would be a bonus, but dont go expecting things like a countryside, desert or snowy mountain.
There should be some features from San Andreas in this game like Changing Cloths etc.
As for ur comment on Big Name Music, well they wont have as much money for music so it depends if the band will let Rockstar use there tracks on the game (which i dont see as a problem, if i was in a famous band, and a company like rockstar said they wanted afew of our songs, i would be glad to give it to em, heck for free if it means ur songs are gonna be in one of the most coolest games ever!).
Anyway ill finish off, the only thing i can say is, I Guess we have to wait til it is released b4 we find out.

LOL, I like that FAGG FM, thats pretty funny! For the K-DST radio station they should put in Metallica and Megadeth music in with all of the other classical rock.

whell i think that gohst town was suposto be solid aswhell with all thoes citus that are back there that wernt in the game and ghst town was just a little part of all thoes citys and the tunnel was the primary way to get there also i think theres a placxe in the tunnel that connects all the citsy tat it could possobly be an exit to i dono but thats what i think , they probly ran out of time like san andreas with all its features
i hope all thoes citys will be opened maby we could all email rockstar, i mean evrey one of us , rockstar goes to check there email and WAM 300 emails from diff ppl asking the same question, theyed have to reply LOL can we do that?
Guys, this is a big game for R*. It's GTA on the best handheld. They are gonna have some big music in it. Well, I hope anyway.

they wouldnt do that. in the us, radio stations start with either a "k" or a "w". things like "WGRD" in michigan and "KATT" in oklahoma.

I was just saying for those TYPE of radio stations, and I did not make them up.:o
Ok, now about the tunnel, why the hell do you think it led to another island or somthing, it was probalby a road through the mountain to the main land, It didn't led to somthing, if it was, it wasn't cut, couse you don't cut a Whole island, they just added it for realism, if it really was cut, it could be found in the GTAIII disc. Ok?

i think it led to the ghost town, if u use the bridge to ghost town mod for gta3, u'll see that the other end of the tunnel isnt actually far from the "ghost town" area, its like facing it, ill try and get a pic.

now that information has been released, i don't think your dreams of Stauntan Plaza being finished will come true, since this game is yet again, before GTA3
the tunnel ideas are pretty good, they should do something with those. Maybe build the missing part of Liberty City, the park with the bank from the intro (ghost town), they could make it its own small island, finish it, solidfy it, add pedestrians and stuff ya know, that would be pretty cool.
@ash_735, i know that, but where i REALLY led too, when it wasn't closed, then it woulnd't led to gohst town, but probably to the main land.

It Would Of Led to the Ghost Town, It Has To Exist there, otherwise Claude and Catelina would of robbed a non-existant bank, that area has to be there, i will be glad to see if it has got a name in LCS cause im sick of calling it ghost town
Well, call it intro movie town than, i do it too, but to make it more easy for ya'll i call it gohst town.
