Donald Love's Assassin

I've had Killzone for quite a while now and have now decided to do a review of it. So here you go:
Graphics- 9/10
I definately think that this game has some of the best graphics seen on PS2. Especially in the cut-scenes. The only reason that I thought it was fit to lose 1 point is actually a big point in my view. The dying animations. The enemy do have rag-doll physic, but only until they hit the ground or wall. And then they stick in whatever position they landed. It doesn't seem that bad until you toss a grenade down a hall way, then walk down and find a guy stuck upside down against a wall! But apart from that obvious set back, they are quite magnificent.
Sound- 7/10
The guns sound fine and the voice acting fine. It doesn't seem like they have tried to do anything spectacullar with the sound though. They are good, but not great. And the only thing that anoyed me about the voice acting is that the girl who did the voice of 'Lugar', has an aussie accent. The only problem is that I don't think an aussie does the voice. I think she is just putting it on. And it does not fit the game at all.
Gameplay-7/10
If this was one of the first FPS's on PS2, it would have been great. But now we have the choice of some really great FPS's out there (Time Splitters 2). This doesn't feel, nor look much different to anything thats already been done. And frankly, I think that the enemies take way to much damage. Now there is a thin line between not taking enough, and taking too much. Now I rather them take too much than too little but it does really become bothersome when a guy is running full speed at you and you empty an entire clip into him and he doesn't die. And the only reason he didn't die, is because in the manual, it says "oh, they are 'elite' soldiers". Oh, so in real life, (if I joined the army) And I became a general, I could take an entire clip to the head? I don't think so.
Life/Longevity- 6/10
The game itself is quite large. With many levels and 4 different characters to do each level with. But after the main game, there are only a few level's that you will want to go and do again.
Extra's-1/10
A level select. Thats it? yep... I'm afraid so.
Difficulty- 9/10
Quite hard from start to finish. And I found it quite a good difficulty. Although, towards the end of the game, it seemed that the main reason it was getting hard was because they just seemed to be putting in more 'Elite' Soldiers (previously mentioned) with grenade launchers or some other crazy powerful weapon.
Controls-9/10
I think that they are great controls. The re-load/firing/throwing grenades is all easily done. The only problem I had with the controls was the fact that to sprint, you had to hold down the L3. I didn't have any trouble with it being there, but I felt that there were more appropriate buttons for a sprint button. But overall, they are easy to use and very tight controls.
Story-7/10
This was probably the hardest thing to score in this game. Because they seemed to put more into the history of the war in the intro. But as soon as the game starts, the story really starts to slow down. But overall, it's quite good, aside from being your basic premess of good v.s evil.
Multiplayer-6/10
This is where the game really lacked options. You do have your basic multiplayer options like bots, kills and time. But compared to other FPS's out there, it really lacks options. You can't change weapon sets, the character you play or change the options in any other way like that. But it can still be fun.
Overall- 8/10
A good FPS. But it doesn't do anything that hasn't already been done. Its major pro's are:
-Realistic Graphics
-And Quite A Good Story
Its major cons are:
-Its Lack Of Options In Multiplayer
-The Lack Of Extras After Finishing The Game
This is my first review and I wish to do more. So please tell me how this review helped/didn't help you.
