The Getaway: Black Monday

My review.
Graphics- 10/10- Best i've seen, amazing detail on characters in and out of cut scenes.

Gameplay- 10/10- Great mssions, I am nearly done with the game, it doesn't take an 8 year old to do the missions, unlike SA, you have to have a stratedgy.

Sound 10/10- Amazing.

Afterplay- 9/10- you have free roam from the start, you can street race with like drag racing type cars.

Overall- 9.8/10

Best Game I have Played To Date, It completly owns SA, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. I would reccomend this game to anyone who likes strategy, action, or shooting games.

sounds pretty good eh? i really liked the first one but i couldnt do the last level -i gave up in the end .Best thing about that game was their pommy accents , lmfao .i'll probably be a tight arse with 'black monday' and wait till it goes platinum.

Well I have played it, and I have to admit, it was fun, But its just not original so I'd have to say SA is better.

Better than SA? Best gameyou've ever played? What the hell? Is this the first game you ever played?

Graphics: Practicly NO detail on the character models, the whole town looks too grainy, but I guess it fits the game pretty well. They DON'T deserve 10/10 at all.
Sound: No radio stations? The voice acting is really cool, though.
Afterplay: The controls make this game no fun at all. Everything is too sloppy, and the cars handle like bricks. The city is not fun to drive in. Just boring.
Overall: The game is just the same as the previous title, except with more things that are worse and non-fixed bugs and glitches, I'd give it a 5.8/10. Just a mediocre rental.

Ha. It is way better than SA, realism plays a big factor. Just cause you can't get used to different conrols doesn't mean they suck. The graphics are great.

Just because it's realistic, doesn't mean it's fun. I can adjust to different controls pretty quickly, but you'll have to admit that the controls in this games are bad.
The graphics are dated, it looks exactly like the first Getaway, with some minor adjustments. It's too grainy for my liking, it's too plain. Everything looks like it's made of 3 colours: gray, dark gray and light gray.

Don't be so silly. The graphics are highly upgraded from The Getaway 1.The controls arn't as bad as people make the out to be. The realism does make it fun, along with the ragdoll physics and awsome story line

i thought the getaway: black monday was a great game. it has the best graphics i've ever seen in a game and the missions were more fun because as ao said you have to have a strategy it's not like sa where you go blow up 100 people and then complete the mission.

The game was ok. I thought the textures were a little dull in some areas, and the control scheme wasn't all the great for shooting enemies. The physics were mediocre at best.

It wasn't the worst, but it felt rushed.

Gameplay- Strategic and definately not a blow up everything kinda game.9/10
Story- Great-10/10
Controls-good.10/10
Life- taxi mode-boring. racing mode- alright but could be better. Free-roaming- great. there are people to unlock for free roaming and they all play differently and all give there own kinds of gamplay. but not really much to do after the main storyline. 7/10

Actually, I only ment to give the controls 7 or an 8. sorry. But the graphics are definatley 10/10. The best graphics on PS2 are- Killzone, MGS2 and 3, The getaway: Black Monday and a few others that I can't think of.

And by the way, Yes I do always think heavily about these kind of things. BUT, and its a very big BUT, I NEVA compare games. Not EVA. I only ever judge a game by wat it is. Not wat it isn't, not by wat it could be, but wat it is.

Got Burnout 3, got MGS2 ( getting MGS3), Had GT3. OK, they all ave great graphics. 10/10 graphics actually. I'm not saying that the in-game graphics are just good. Im talking about how realistic the pplz in the cut-scenes move. and how good the lip-syncing is. In MGS2 (i cant say anything about MGS3) the pplz in the cut scenes look like dolls. the in-game graphics were brilliant though.

Look, I just wanna end this discussion. Its all about personal opinion. I think its great and deserves 8 or 9/10. others think its crap. END OF DISCUSSION.
