Around £26
I’ve recently brought a brand new dell dimension 8400 desktop. I am well chuffed with it, however the keyboard and mouse were, to say the least, shit. So I was looking for a new keyboard and mouse when I stumbled across this.
First of the mouse is wireless and optical. This is really useful as it means no cleaning and no wires to restrict your movement. The scroll wheal is the most comfy thing in the world, I keep stopping just to scroll up and down because it feels so nice. It also has the feature of the left and right scrolling by moving the wheel left or right. The shape mould perfectly into you hand even if your are left handed. The reception is very reliable and the software will tell you how much battery there is left.
The keyboard is amazing. First thing is that it is very quiet. Then it is just like any other keyboard. Except the quick key buttons up the top. There are buttons which open folders. For example the first button is marked ‘my documents’ which opens the ‘my documents folder. The other buttons are…
My Pictures
My Music
Mute
WMP Controls- including play/pause, stop, volume up and down, back track, skip track.
Media- Opens Windows Media player.
Mail-Opens Outlook
Web/Home- Opens IE or returns to home page if it’s already open
Messenger- Opens Windows Messenger.
Calculator
Log Off
Sleep
The best thing is that all these buttons are fully programmable so any button can be linked to open anything, from programs like Photoshop to specific web pages.
Overall the keyboard and mouse are excellent. I would recommend that, if you need to buy a new keyboard to get this one.
