Wheres my reciept? Thats what most people were saying when they bought Driv3r. The ONLY good thing about this game is the crash damage on the cars... THATS ALL. I give it a 1.2

The on foot controls were absolutely piss poor. The physics of numerous vehicles were waaaaaaaayyyyyy off. Take boats for example, it was like driving a '88 Eldorado through sand banks trying to drive it. The story was mediocre at best, and the characters.....eh they were less than mediocre.

I honestly have pretty much nothing good to say about this game. And I've played it extensively.

The car pop-up really got on my nervs. Even on the Xbox version it was terrible.

I didn't think it was bad enough to get a 1/10, because there are some creative things you can do with the cars. So I give it about a 6. It has too many flaws to get a better score.

Yeah, you can stunt much better in Driv3r than any GTA title. I got the PC version just a few days ago, but I have to upgrade my PC because it can't handle it well. From what I have played so far..

Good:
-Awesome graphics.
-Great car physics.
-Stunting is a blast when you find some ramps and such.
-Wonderful vehicular destruction.
-Plenty of vehicles to choose from.
-The whole driving aspect is covered well.
-Driving games are still great.
-Sound effects and soundtrack is wonderful.
-Voice acting is great.
-CGI cutscenes are spectacular, even though they're something we should be seeing back when PS ran rampant.
-Play through the game for some valuable cheats. I'm guessing there's at least infinite ammo and health.

Neutral:
-The game was meant for a controller.
-Car explosions seem sort of unappealing, but at least the cars do fly apart, which it all is sort of okay.
-No shooting from in/on any vehicle? No Biggy. You shouldn't mind much either.

Bad:
-Not much variety with the pedestrians and vehicles.
-It feels sort of 'dead' in some parts of each city.
-No custom music or anything of the like?
-It takes a while to get used to driving with a keyboard (for this particular game).
-Not much of an on-foot game.
-Aiming with a mouse seems like a chore.
-Semi-poor firing animations. Tanner doesn't jerk his gun much at all, and the weapons have rather weak muzzle flash. Automatic weapons look good, but only in the replays.
-Tanner swims strangely and begins to die after doing so for a minute. Wish they told you when that minute was up, too.



That's all I can think of for now. There's more good things, it's just we never notice them because we always try to look for the bad things.

What about final fantasy, its all about the cutscenes, well, after the gameplay longevity and it being a rpg and shit.

Driver 3 had sweet cinimatics, and an ok story line, but driving a bike felt like shzt, the physics wer to much for a control. to hard to navigate

3/10 cus it lead me on.

If your PC could handle it smoothly, yes, it is much better on PC. I just wish I knew why there wasn't any reflections on cars other than the texture that rotated around on it. I guess there would be some if I had something like an NVIDIA GeForce 6800. I know the Xbox version had reflections, you couldn't miss them.

It's definitely a game for a gamepad, though.

P.S. The PS2 version sucked.

I played the PS2 and Xbox versions. Both were crappy. Xbox version had better Anti Aliasing, but I couldn't get used to the Xbox contoler and it got in the way while playing. I was more used to the PS2 controles, but the graphics were less Anti Aliased.

The draw distance was horid for both versions.

@Olin. When the PC demo comes out, let me know and I will try it on my PC to see how it works. Just send a PM or something.

dam game is so glichly that i could even complete it, even after payin 50 bucks, because a mission in which i had to follow a car kept driving through walls that i could go through letting him always get away.

The game is quite good, yet sort of buggy. Vehicle controls and physics are superb. Damage modeling, although rather preset and somewhat incorrect at times, is some of the best I've seen in any driving game. On foot controls are fine, but animations and actions feel a bit constricted, particularly when Tanner jogs and hops instead of running and jumping. The muzzle flash on weapons are pretty good for primarily a driving game. Tanner's animations for firing most weapons is rather poor, however. After a while, you'll grow to like the way the game handles on foot, but won't find love there. The game has pretty good replay value for the driving missions and driving games are pretty fun at times. Miami and Nice are good, but Istanbul outdoes them by miles. Don't judge the game before you get to Istanbul, the best city in the game.

Hmm everyone seems to be giving Driv3r completely ridiculous scores! 1/10?!?! Come on, there is no way that it was that bad! No game can be that bad if you think about it! That means that everything in the game was terrible! But it wasn't!

I thought the graphics were pretty decent and I loved the car damage and explosions (or jacknifing a truck then releasing the back!). I liked the music too. It's not great but it wasn't awful.

I would have given it a 6/10

Driver two has some AWESOME damage to the cars, but the rest stinks. I don't own it, but I rented it on Xbox for a week or two. The grenade launcher is very complicated to aim with and time, and the other weapons don't do much.

Everyone who gave this game a 1 or 2 stop the hating!!!! I have played bad games in my life but the worst rating I would ever give to a game is probably a 3/10 and thats Salt Lake 2002. Now Driver 3 doesnt even come close to being as bad as that game, I would give it a 7/10. I think you people who give it those kind of bad scores are just so dedicated to GTA that you are afraid to like games that are similar to GTA!

i completely agree with you. i absolutely hated driv3r. Grand Theft auto 3 is much better than driv3r i think most of you will agree. which came out way before the other one? GTA3 did. 'nuff said.

thank god i didn't buy it. I played the demo. It seemed ok at first, the cutscenes had very nice graphics although like simons said when it cut from cutescene to in game it was like a joke, seriously, it was that bad.

Having to strife and look to aim was shit. THe vehicle designs were decent. I liked how the speed of the cars worked out, as well as the squealing of dead brakes. I also dug the turn signals on NPC cars just so you could read traffic.

Calita had potential to be one badass chick character. But they could have used a tougher sounding voice-over and had her talk with more emotional; he voice is terribly monoral, Even Mike Madsen couldn't do Tanner justice klike he did with Tony C. in GTA.
