Nas is good, but pharrell is legendary.

Nas is more legendary. But pharrel is great. That song he did with snoop has an awesome beat to it.

Nas for sure. Pharrell might be a good songwriter and producer, but he isn't a very good rapper. And his voice when he sings irritates me a bit.
Nas all the way "The bridge will never be over".
Edit: By the way has any one hear that new track with Oda I think thats how you spell his name. Damn its good, like free beer good and thats hard to do with any song. :p

Nasir Jones of course Illmatic is a classic, and Ether is a crazy track, even tho its dissin Jay Z and sounds boring at first, pharrel isnt really in the same category, hes more R&B

Theres no comparison, Nas is probably one of the greatest all time rappers, Top 10 at least. Pharrell is just the current "it" producer who will probably fade out in a few years and the try and relive the glory like dr. drea (aint dissing the chronic)
I agree Nas is easly top 10 imo even top 2 but number one to me is K.R.S. ONE. knowledge rains supreme over nearly every one.

My favorite rapper is Dr. Dre. He invented all that gangster shit, an this the motherfucking thanks he gets? :p

IMO, Nas beats Pharrell on all fronts. Better lyrics, better beats and better raps. He's not bad, but he surely can't beat Nas.

Can't say I do. I never really took the time to listen to either of them. Only know them from TV and some of their more famous songs. Can't really judge them. I guess 'Like 'em both' is the best choice.

Zcab is right, Dr. Dre, and Snoop (i might add) are the best rappers, ever. I love their 'older' tracks.
Nas is ok, I don't really like Pharrel. Gotta admit that I don't really know Nas that well. I heard some of his music that's all

the best of all time was Run DMC. Nas even thinks so.
You can't say that as if it is a fact! In my opinion, the best rap act is Wu-Tang Clan. All eleven :p
But they are so obscure (and they lost their second-best rapper, RIP ODB) that I mentioned Dre instead, sine he is responsible for most good rap today.

I only like Wu Tang cos of gravel pit, i like west coast rap more, even tho its more 'materialistic and psychotic'
Death Row Records was the best label ever, i loved Krazy Suge Knight, hes a dick now for ordering Dre hit
Nas feat Alu Dara " Bridging the gap" is the song that I was speaking of, the one thats better then free beer. :p
