first of all that defect takes a lot of work, you have to sqeeze and shake the PSP really hard, which nobody would do, second of all once you put the disk back it, the game continues right where it stops, third of all sony said they would fix that for the US release, and fourth of all, in that particular video I saw him pressing the eject button at one point, since I've played PSP (my friend has it shipped from Japan on ebay) I know where the eject button is, it's on the back, and see him slipping his finger to it.
