Trucking Mission 7

Does anyone have a good tip on how to beat this mission? The trucking missions are all that stand between me and 100% (i have 99.49). Usually ill try to take the traintrack, it will get me either as far as the middle of San Fierro or to the beginning of Lav Venturras usually (going east/west on the train track starting from the truck stop). Usually what happens is the dang helicopters blow up the truck/tanker. I get out and try to shoot them down but when i do that a bunch of police on foot show up. Anyone got a better strategy for this? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

i beat it by getting out every few minutes and just killing everything that was following me, and then jumping back into the truck and ahuling ass. if you dont get out and kill the bitches, theyl ram you untill you blow up

this mission was a bitch. i had some trouble with it too. you could always go fast(obvious!) and try to force the coppers in land vehicles into random stuff such as poles or signs or whatever. its no point killing cops as more will just spawn and come after you. basically its all about driving skill as the cops do their best at dislodging your trailer and they are VERY good at it. but good luck in the mission!you ll need it :)
