my first post ever
i just bought san andreas from a local eb games and for some reason..whenever i drive really fast through the streets..a screen pops up telling me that there was an " error reading grand theft auto: san andreas disc" message...my ps2 is only about 6 months old...the newest models before they came out with those new skinny ones...all my other games work fine..anybody else have this problem?? and if anybody does, does anyone have advice on what to do...this has been my 2nd ps2 in the last 3 yrs and i dont wanna have to go through all this again

yeah see if you can exchange it for a different one. that is the only think i could think of.

my eb offered me a warrenty for 3 bucks, did yours offer you one to?, and if they did depending on when you bought the game you have 14 days to buy the warrenty and they will give you a new one for free
I mys dont do that wash it or blow some air in your ps2 so it get rid of dust

dont buy a new one just take it back if u have not had it for more than 14 days
i got mine from best buy and they told me if anything was wrong bring it back before 14 days and i could getr a new one

yeah i was playing last ngiht, and my friends were wrestling, and someone accidentally got dropped on my ps2, the system was intact, but soon after i got that disc read error message, so i pulled out the disc, and there was a small scratch, that looked more like a smudge on the bottom of the disc. i suject you take great care of your san andreas discs, they are very sensitive.
oh yeah, so i went to gamestop and i got it replased, with the last copy in the store, just make sure you have a receipt, if you dont you're fucked, and you have to dish out another 50.

buy a new disc from there, if it doesnt work return it again, then try from a diff place, if that doesnt work well its time to send ur ps2 to the manufacturer (cant spell)

if it works once, it''ll work everytime. but if it doesnt work from the start then you have to ship your ps2 to god knows where. i wonder if they send you the tiny shit ps2, or the regular size.
