I've got PS2 model # 39001, and I read that they might have problems... is this problem included...

In the first OG Loc mission, I go to the DJ at the beach party and she asks me to dance, so I wait for the dance contest.... and NOTHING HAPPENS!!! Anyone else having this problem???
