Just wondering if there was
a) a cheat to make a Dodo appear... want to fly to Shoreside Vale because bridge is still destroyed
and b) What's the proper cheat for slowing down time ? I entered one and it sped time up dramatically and another one which seemed to just make it normal speed.

a.)dodo spawn cheat does not exist
b.)slow down time cheat=Y, Up, Right, Down, X, RT, Black (if you entered the speed up time cheat then you'll have to enter the slow down time cheat twice for it to slow down the game)

Oh thanks! I'll try that in the morning... too tired to boot up the game tonight ... and must get plenty of beauty sleep for playing GTA:SA ;) I'm still trying to finish GTA3 and GTA:VC ... how sad am I... but I have an excuse as I've only just purchased the Double Pack on XBox fairly recently. I'm getting there on GTA3 though.
Oh well, I'm still going to play them as much/get as far as I can before GTA:SA hits my Aussie mailbox from New Zealand (uncut ! ) since I will probably never go back to them
If you're in Portland, do the following.
1.) Fetch a Banshee from Easy Credit Autos and go to the Callahan bridge.
2.) Enter the code 'R, LT, Black, LT, Left, RT, RT, Y' to activate the handling cheat.
3.) Build up speed and push in the left control stick to jump over the barrier.
4.) Deactivate the cheat by entering it agiain or keep it on if you wish, and enter 'Right, Black, B,
RT, White, Down, LT, RT' to turn on the flying cars cheat.
5.) Race down the bridge and pull back slightly to maintain your balance in the air. You should land on the other side.
Alt.: Using both cheats, drive at a medium-high speed down the bridge and jump while speeding up just before the slope.
6.) After landing on the other side, deactivate the cheats and go North to find the underground tunnel. Go through it to Shoreside Vale.

If you're in Staunton, do the following.
1.) Go to the Staunton/Shoreside bridge.
2.) Enter the flying cars cheat ('Right, Black, B,
RT, White, Down, LT, RT').
3.) Drive down the bridge and speed up near the end, pull back and land on the other side. You may have to try more than once.
Alt.: Enter the handling cheat ('R, LT, Black, LT, Left, RT, RT, Y'), Drive through the bridge at medium-high speed, speed up near the gap and push in the left control stick to jump. Pull back a bit to stay airborn and land on the other side.
There, done.

I *know* how to fly, obviously (see first post), I just can't clear the gap between the Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale bridge
I gave instructions on how to do so. :P And it works, I've tried it myself.
