View Full Version : Who's that one dude?
I love finding the difference between the cartoon images of characters in the GTA series on the covers and then comparing them to their computer animated counterparts, but I don't know who the crap that one dude is on the bottom right corner on the GTA III cover!
I can't figure out who he is and I couldn't find a decent pic, but he's the guy with sunglasses and the brown jacket.
I thought maybe it's Fido, because sometimes the cartoon comparisions are poor, but it'd be nearly impossible for that to be him.
Then, I thought maybe it's what Curtly or Darkel would look like (the two characters that were cut in the final version of the game).
But I don't know. Please, somebody, their thoughts. Sorry for no pic.

That's not anyone. At least not anyone of the NPCs. I think he's just one of the Mafia's boys. He's right in front on the poster/map, and I've matched up every other character to their art. Take my word for it, he's either a Mafia thug, or a concept of what Fido was originally gonna look at.
Thanks, Octacon305, I figured that he'd be part of a gang after I thought about it longer enough. Because some of the artwork shows people like that black dude and it says somewhere that he's just a Yardie. Same with the guy in the green shirt with the uzi, that's supposed to be a Triad.

That sounds logical Mr. JY. But who knows, he's probably just some random guy. Maybe an early pic of Tony or Joey or Luigi?

I thought that too, but I also thought that Marty could be that fat guy in the suit.
Oh yeah, except Marty didn't have sunglasses on his final mission where you get to see him.

The fat guy in the suit is Salvatore. And just because he didn't have sunglasses on when you see him at the end of that mission doesn't mean it couldn't be him. This doesn't sound like a correct scenario to me:
#1: "Hey, that guy looks like you!"
#2: "Um... what makes you say that?"
#1: "He's got your sunglasses!"
The sunglasses don't make the man.
Yeah, you're right. I always thought that pic of Salvatore was bad, but that artwork of a possible Salvatore on the official site looks awesome! The artwork seems to get better and better!

I didn't mean that fat guy, there's a different group pic where there's a fat guy in a trench coat.
Oh, yeah, I was wondering who the other fat dude was too. Same with the short guy with the bat. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE!?

i do know that the guy with the uzi, long black hair with sides shaved and the gray jumpsuit is just a regular triad...he looked more important and higher up than a regular though, so i always thought that they would have made triad missions wehrer you could join them...he would be the leader or soemthing...
