No ingame map? Liberty City is pretty easy to get used to. Just takes time, then you'll know where to go in missions.
And no, you're not Penalized for cheating. Try beating it without cheats first though.

and i'm doing a bunch of taxi missions first, trying to get the lay of the land.
not working too well.
i wish the Pay n' Spray would show up on the radar.
*sigh*

it does, though only when your kinda close to it which is sort of pointless, but anyway once you learn your way around everything will be alot easier

Are there any motorbikes in this game?
cos that was my favourite in Vice City.

As was said earlier, the map is pretty easy to figure out just as in VC, and cheating won't penalize you, but takes away the only purpose of money in the game, buying weapons at Ammunation. But oh well.

Hell who needs to cheat.
I got directions for all the hidden packages.
I'm so well stocked at my hideout it's unreal.
Also, I have about 1.5 million banked.
It's so unbelieveably easy to make money in this game.
Took me a while to rake in some expendable cash in VC.

You're right there, Schism. It's pretty cool getting all that dough and weapons for getting the hidden packages.

Try testing yourself by taking your eye off the radar and keeping it on the road, only looking at the radar when you're totally lost.
