View Full Version : Which things you like and which things u dislike from this game?
I don't like they almost put more features into other people than in Fido.Like talkin', flyin' a copter, and have infinite ammo only when they have it cuzz when u pick it up the have a poor ammo.
I like, some of the cars, like the Borgnine, Yardie Lobo, Cartel Cruiser.I also like the dodo, and lotta things.

I do like the game a lot, but some missions are too hard out of nowhere *ahem* Bomb da Base: Act II. Hell, I found "The Exchange" easier than BdB: Act II. o_O
Another thing I like a lot about this game: The sportscars, some other cars, the weapons, even how much fun it is to ram a Medicar or go into Mafia Territory with a Tank, and then get a wanted level of a 3 by the time I escape, speeding down the hill with the turret firing tank shells.
A thing I don't like about GTA3 is that damn Dodo. It's too easy to take off from Francis to the turnpike in Bedford Point without crashing into the water, or a wall.
F*** BdB: ACT II
I do it in like a month. and now I have the 2 good files I have, corrupted. Thats F****** I have it for PS2 so it is easy for flyin' the DODO. At least u have a mod for easily goin to Ghost Town.

I have to say, I find it reassuring that some of you had trouble with the Bomb the Base mission...cos I did it on my second try.
I'm not saying this to gloat, but becuase as much as I love the GTA games, I kinda suck at the more challenging missions, or side missions...so the idea that I easily did something that others find hard means, well...i must be getting better.
:p
Anyway, having grown up in the 80's (sit down, young'uns), I really enjoyed the music from Vice City. While the music in GTA3 was good for independant stuff, it was too unvaried and on a short rotation - I got fed up with it real quick. I also miss the motorbikes.
Basically, give GTA3
- motorbikes
- more or better music
- an in-game map
...and it would be FAR better than Vice City.
At the moment, in my books, they're tied.

I liked most of the radio stations better, the perfect handling cheat actually lived up to it's name back then, and the Vigilante/Firefighter missions weren't level based. I also liked the missions, characters, and setting more. Like I said in another thread. Liberty had hills, valleys, natural jumps, and lots of sweet inclines. Vice City was flat as a 10 year old girl. Oh, the rocket launcher was better too. In Vice, it constantly backfired if you shot it in a tight space. There was more bullet-proof, fire-proof, and explosion-proof vehicles. The cops cars looked better. The FBI had cooler vehicles. The gangs had cooler vehicles. The gangs were better. A leather jacket and olive green pants kick the shit out of a faggy hawaiian shirt and acid washed jeans anyday. The emergency vehicle crane, and the import export garages were alot better than Sunshine autos. Cars took more punishment, didn't turn over as easily. The peds were funnier. The last mission was more challenging. You could hold all the weapons at once, meaning you could have the rocket launcher and the flame thrower at the same time, a valuable combination for 6 star rampages. There were more side missions. And I mean like Marty Chonks, D-Ice, El Burro, and King Courtney. What did Vice City have? That weirdo on the phone. And don't give me that asset mission BS. Those were still part of the story in my book.
I hated the Dodo, the boats, and the fact that almost everyone hates you by the end. That's about it.
Yeah I agree about the map it was way better in VC with loads of tunnels, subways, the el-train, hills, valleys, etc. VC had none of that. But I would have liked a bit more action in the water like was in VC. Didn't miss flying vehicles.
Things I didn't like, it was a bit slow - VC actually ran faster on my computer despite it being a later game (which is unusual). Also the fact you can't swim. It would be nice if they even just gave you a couple of seconds to try and make it back to safety, instead, a single miss-timed jump can be the end of you.
And though now I love the motorbikes in VC, in #3, (before VC came out) I didn't miss them as I could only remember the crappiness of them in the first game.
I prefered the idea of having to pay to save like in #2. I mean who really cares whether the clock has advanced 6 hours?
Likes: Vehicles, atmosphere, hills, gangs, animations, humor, chatterbox, weather, weapons, map, complexity.
Dislikes: Lighting effects, random frame drops, lack of activites after game completion.

Just out of curiousity, Guy, is that 'official' KB artwork in your sig, or is it a fan drawing?
