Kinda complicated, right? The GBA only has a D-pad and the A and B buttons, right?

Well the bare basics of GTA require more buttons than that. You gotta move around, steal cars, change weapons, shoot, and maybe jump.

The original GTA required the D-pad, square, X, circle, triangle, R1, R2, L1, L2, buttons. How would you be able to play GTAAdvanced with only the D-pad and 2 buttons? Do you think that the fact that the GBA has only 2 buttons will make the game corny because they'd have to get rid of some of the features (like you won't be able to jump or you'll only carry one gun at a time) or would it make the game complicated so that you'd have to press different combinations of buttons just to accomplish simple functions?

I don't have a GBA so if I'm way off, could you explain it to me?

That's what I'm talking about. So if you have to hold all kinds of combinations of buttons an' shit just to change weapons or something, do you think the game'll be complicated?

it's easy to play unless you haven't played on a GBA before.

Nice explanation, but I wonder if you can sprint..

R trigger = Sprint
L trigger = Aim (deactivates Sprinting)
L trigger+R trigger = Shoot

Make sense?

it makes sense except the L and R button to shoot that doesn't make any sense at all, because I have to press to buttons to shoot.

I'm thinking triggers, argh. L button/R button*

Anyway, L is to aim and R is to shoot. That's what I meant.

IGN's report said there's a Strafe move to replace the lock-on.

Here's the control scheme I came up with:

*******
ON FOOT
*******

A - Run

B - Fire Weapon

L - Strafe

R - Jump

L + Up - Enter Vehicle

Select - Scroll Weapons

Start - Pause Menu

*********
IN VEHICLE
*********

A - Accelerate

B - Brake

L - Fire Weapon (Drive-By)

R - Handbrake

L + Up - Exit Vehicle

Select - Horn/Siren

L + R - Start/End Vigilante/Emergency Missions

Up - Change Radio Station

And here's some alternate In Vehicle controls, since the version above only allows for a Drive-By in one direction:

A - Accelerate

B - Brake

L - Drive-By Fire Left

R - Drive-By Fire Right

L + Up - Exit Vehicle

Select - Start/End Vigilante/Emergency Missions

Up - Change Radio Station

Down - Handbrake

don't worry it's on a gba the controls won't be hard at all, and the game plays from a top-view with new things in it from gta3, so think of the old controls for the ps1 gtas. :D
