This is the second part in the story. Tell me what you think.
Welcome to Portland Docks, Liberty City’s bustling port. Portland Docks handles over 20,000 ships a year and is a major port for the entire Liberty City metro area. It also hides some very dirty little secrets. It is one of the worst ports in the world for illegal imports and exports. Well over half of the ships that go through the port are illegal, and the number is still rising.
I decided to go down there to check out the situation with Hank Hill, a guy from Texas that loves propane and works at LC Propane in Newport. We pulled up to a large container ship at the east end of the docks. There were about six Yardie Lobos and a Bobcat by the ramp up to the ship. They immediately came over and pointed their shotguns oat my face through the window. I told them I just wanted to find out about the illegal operations at Portland Docks. A skinny man with blond hair and a mullet named Lazlow came over and said to follow him. The men continued to point their guns at us.
We followed him up into the ship and into a small office with a small little window. “So, you want to know the story. About 3 years ago I was on Chatterbox FM after becoming a failure in both Vice City in the 80’s and San Andreas in the early 90’s. There was this one guy that called in that really ****** me off. I started threatening the guy and trashing the studio. Just then Donald Love walks in and says what the **** are you doing? I started arguing with him on air. About five minutes later I was fired and had all my stuff thrown out of the building. Some Yardies outside the studio then picked me up. They made me an offer I could not refuse. Literally. They wanted me to lead the Yardies. Anyway, I have been leading this import export business for a few years now. We wanted in on the smuggling operations in Liberty. Now the Yardies are one of the most powerful groups in Liberty City. We have almost completely taken over the Diablo’s territory and are trying to get the Cartel territory on Staunton. We have men down here 24/7 loading and unloading goods. The Mafia is still beating us out though. I’m starting to get ****** at them. I think maybe I should start a gang war with them. We scored a lot of luck when their don went down. Who new a radio host would be running one of the most powerful gangs in Liberty City. Well, I better get back to practicing to become the host of our gang’s new radio station, Yardie FM.”
Lazlow, a former radio DJ now a gang leader. What kind of ****** up world are we in? Anyway, we thought we would go over and try to talk with the Mafia. Down at one of the warehouses we found a few Mafia Sentinels and a Rumpo. Immediately a few of the men came over and asked us to get out of the car. We told them why we were there. One of the men, named Joey Leone, said he would be willing to talk to us.
We followed him into one of the Sentinels and a driver drove us around Portland. “So, you want to know about our operations. Well, we have been kicking the Yardie’s *** in imports and exports but they are still keeping up. We now have to increase shipments and have men working down here 24/7. Things have been really ****** up since some mother ******* kid in a black jacket whacked our don. My dad didn’t deserve it. He was a good man. He did do a good job wasting Marty Chonks when he brought in some gang from Columbia, or Colorado, or something. Who needs details? Anyway, These Triads are causing trouble again. We thought we beat them in 2001 but they have come back in full force. It’s a war zone down at the Portland subway station. There are dead bodies all over the place. They have killed a lot of our men but we are holding strong. The Triads have a very strong shipping operation, even better than ours. We are really getting our *** kicked. We sent some guy over to kill them and he got gunned down so ******* fast. Well, nice talking with you, now get the **** out.”
It sounded like we should go talk with the Triads. We found them at a ship in the place where the Cartel ship went down 3 years ago. There were four Triad Fish Vans being loaded by the ship. When we pulled up in my Landstalker, still full of bullet holes, the Triads came over and started banging on the car with baseball bats, obviously a bunch of degenerates. I stated my business and a man named Mr. Wong, owner of Wong’s Laundromat in Chinatown, agreed to speak with us.
“Well, the Mafia is ******* up our operations over and over. They still can’t get more shipments in though. We are going to send the Mafia to **** in a hand basket. We work 24/7 to keep ahead. I am glad that kid killed their don, but he caused us a lot of trouble. I wish he was dead, but I hear he fled to Los Santos. Oh, and now Lazlow from Chatterbox is now the leader of the Yardies. Well, I got to get back to work. No get out of here. Just then Hank got out of the car with an Uzi. The Triads opened fire on my car. We took off. I looked at the rear view mirror and saw the Triads chasing on foot. My car now had bullet holes on the side. More goes on at the docks than you think.
