Welcome to Francis International Airport, one of this country’s busiest airports with over 15,000 passengers a day. Francis International keeps Liberty City’s transportation system running. It also hides some very dark secrets. Over 56% of the shipments that go through Francis International are illegal.
I decided to take a cruse down there with Bob Pierson, a retired cop who lives in Wichita Gardens. We went down to the hangers to see what was going on. A large shipment of SPANK was being unloaded from a large jet that read Zaibatsu Corporation. About ten Colombian Cartel members were gathered in a group, all holding a Uzi. As soon as they saw us they pointed their guns at us.
I told them I was just trying to find out the truth about Francis International. Jose Ruiz decided to let me interview him over in a jet that belongs to the Cartel.
“Things are pretty **** up around here. We have been struggling to get more goods in than the Mafia. I’m getting really ***** off. They keep coming down and sabotaging our warehouses. Did you hear about the huge explosion over in Fort Staunton last week? Anyway, our shipments are coming in more often now. We work around the clock to unload this ****. These Mafia guys are going down. We scored a huge advantage when their don went down a few years ago. Things are back to normal for now, just as long as that punk *** kid in the black jacket doesn’t come back. Now get the **** outta of here, I got work to do.”
The Mafia sounded promising for information. We got back in my Landstalker and went over to the southwest part of the airport. When we got there we found eight Mafia Sentinels and a Stretch. A few Mafia men came over to the car window. I told them I wanted to find out more about the real Francis International. A man named Toni Cipriani shoved his way into the group and said to come with him.
We followed him over and into the Stretch. He offered us drinks. We declined the offer. “So, you want to know more about this smuggling at the airport. The Columbian Cartel are really screwing things up for us. We have had to work 24/7 lately because of their surge of shipments. Our business has been going downhill since our don was killed. Salvatore was a good man. Some ******* kid in a leather jacket that used to work for us killed him. Lately the bums around here have been more of a problem than the Cartel. The other day one of them came over and threw a Molotov at our shipment and destroyed the whole thing. Then we pulled out our shoguns and killed him. My mom keeps nagging on me to start being nicer to people like that. She treats me like a little boy. Anyway, I got work to do. Get out of here.”
The bums sounded like a good lead. We drove over to the tip of the south runway. There we found some bums laying around on the cement wrapped in blankets. One of them pulled out a knife. I told them why we were there. A 47 year old named Sid, who seemed extremely drunk, agreed to talk with us. “Ahhh, crap. Well, these, ah, these **** gangs are here disturbing us. Ah, We sent a man over to the Mafia, ah, hanger to put them out of, ah, ah, business. He got himself ******* killed. Bla, ah, we have been trying to get them to leave for months. Ah, why are all these, ah, **** airplanes here? This is our home, not some, ah, ah, airport. Aw, ah, I gotta take a dump.” He pulled down his pants and did that right in front of us. “What you looking at, sonny? Get the **** away.” Then Bob decided to start asking questions. One of the men pushed Bob. Bob pushed him back and the man fell in the water. Just then one of the bums pulled out an AK-47. He started opening fire on us. We ran for the car. I hit that gas and got the **** out of there. My car is still full of bullet holes. Look for The Forgotten Crime Zone: Portland Docks soon.
