ok i just d/l the hill climb mod and the IMGtool 2.0 and everytime i try to open the the gta3.img it IMGtoll says it cant open. i also tryed imgtoll 1.3 but it says its adding the file but it dosent do anythng, is it just becauseit takes a long time? im new to all this so if you could help me out id appreicate it.

Make sure all the files in the gta folder are not read only.

how do i now if they are or not?

right click the files and go to properties. Then untick the box that says read-only if it is ticked....do that for all the files.

ok it worked but themods arnt installing right, isnt there any car or weapon mods that install them self?

yeah, there are a bunch of .rar and zip files that can instakll themselves, but most poeple are lazy :D

lol, Maybe you could get VCMM wouldn't that install most mod's or just VCMM mod's but my best bet would be to install them yourself or get some help from an experienced modder.

yeah ive tryed installing myself and they never work now i just tryed the VCM and the map mods work but the cars dont, havent tryed weapons though. guess im shit outta luck. im so pissed though cause i already had it for ps2 and i bought it for pc just cause of the mods.
