Lately I've been getting a blank BSOD when I'm playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It happens ramdomly (sometimes when I exit the mansion in a car after I started a game or when I'm shooting people trying to raise my criminal rating). It only started to happen about a week ago and I set Motherboard Monitor to alert me when my CPU gets too high (I currently have it at 55c and it still is happening).

I don't know what is causing it, as the BSOD is just blue, with no message.

Specs:
Intel P4 2.8ghz (northwood)
Crucial 512 2700 DDRSDRAM
ATI AIW 9700 vid card
Maxtor 120 and 60gb HDs

What temp is your CPU when you get the blue screen?

I don't know.

Like I said, I set an alarm to go off when my CPU temp goes above 55c, so it can't go that high w/out me knowing.

UPDATE:
I downloaded a Spiderman 2 demo (got it from Game Informer - more on it later) and it too showed the blank BSOD after I played it.

I don't recommend anyone getting that, unless you have a good spyware protector on your computer, because the exe program that it uses to run the game is a trojan. I just disconnected from the internet, set my firewall to block all access to and from my computer and played the game.
