can't base jump long distances

i'm having trouble with the base jumping missions, specifically with long distances.

on the glide through the rings type, i make it through the rings okay, but i never have enough speed to make the distance to the final hoop.

there was one where i had to jump from a building onto a moving truck on the freeway. i tried it like 6 six times and fell short.

i must not understand the buttons. how can i make the distance? :facepalm:

You realize you can, unlike San Andreas, hold the left analog stick forward to tilt your body down and increase your acceleration downwards. In SA, you could only tilt it back and slow your decent, and turn of course.

yeah i've tried that, it goes down faster but not far enough... hmm

I'd try messing around with the timing of opening your parachute then. Personally I didn't find the base jumps difficult, but I guess we all play the game differently. yeah, i'm pretty sure that my timing is the issue, once i get it down the rest should be easy.
