This is what I really think. From my blog:
I just watched a video with Adam Sessler from G4TV ranting about game censorship on GamePolitics.com. I don’t see why all of these politicians and the media are constantly attacking videogames. Us gamers are put into a group, a stereotype, and people think that all we do is sit in our parent’s basement and play videogames or sit in front of a computer all night long. Videogames were blamed for the Virginia Tech and Columbine High School massacres. It’s highy unlikely that videogames contributed to either of those. It’s especially Grand Theft Auto and GTA clones that are blamed. And the media takes things WAY too far. I recall someone with the news saying that you could sell pornography to children and rape women in Grand Theft Auto IV, when you couldn’t. There was a bit of prostitution, but that was at the woman’s consent. It really makes me mad when I go to a place like Fox News.com or CNN.com and see an article for a crime in which the alleged suspect says “GTA made me do it!!”

hmm I must have read your blog lol
cause i remember reading this
but yea games are the medium that's gettin the bad rap right now cause its still a fairly new form of entertainment.
and they are becoming more realistic which is shocking old people who can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality.
And your point: I recall someone with the news saying that you could sell pornography to children and rape women in Grand Theft Auto IV, when you couldn’t. is so true. Most of those against these games have never actually seen the gameplay at all. I remember reading a "Christian" forum that was attacking GTAIV for being evil and what not. They were saying you get more points for killing cops and shit.

points? there ARE no points in GTA.
Money count, yes. But still.

Games are something you are not supposed to do in real life. (besides the sims)
It brings another side to a different look at life. Not yours, but someone elses.
Some people think the world one day will be perfect, crime-free, and healthy.
That isnt going to happen. People will still commit crimes, kill, and steal.
Not all games are like that, though. The reason why the Grand Theft Auto series makes so much money in their sales, is because they make stuff up in a game, that you really cant do in real life, or you aren't supposed to.

Honestly, I think they're destroying the world's youth. Go outside, eat an apple. In my opinion.

I don't really think that.... or do I?
