This is what I really think. From my blog:
I just watched a video with Adam Sessler from G4TV ranting about game censorship on GamePolitics.com. I don’t see why all of these politicians and the media are constantly attacking videogames. Us gamers are put into a group, a stereotype, and people think that all we do is sit in our parent’s basement and play videogames or sit in front of a computer all night long. Videogames were blamed for the Virginia Tech and Columbine High School massacres. It’s highy unlikely that videogames contributed to either of those. It’s especially Grand Theft Auto and GTA clones that are blamed. And the media takes things WAY too far. I recall someone with the news saying that you could sell pornography to children and rape women in Grand Theft Auto IV, when you couldn’t. There was a bit of prostitution, but that was at the woman’s consent. It really makes me mad when I go to a place like Fox News.com or CNN.com and see an article for a crime in which the alleged suspect says “GTA made me do it!!”
