GTA 4 DLC 2 DETAILS! THE BALLAD OF GAY TONY

Rockstar has announced the second downloadable add-on for Grand Theft Auto IV, this one subtitled The Ballad of Gay Tony. Like the last episode, The Ballad of Gay Tony will be exclusive to Xbox 360 and will have a price of 1600 Microsoft points or $19.99.

The Ballad of Gay Tony follows Luis Lopez, the assistant to the nightclub manager Tony "Gay Tony" Prince. In it, players will, "struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price."


Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games offered this statement:
"Liberty City is the most vibrant game world we've created yet. The episodic structure has allowed us to interweave stories, gameplay and atmosphere in a whole new way," "The team at Rockstar North have yet again surpassed themselves, and made something that is both epic and very innovative. This episode's focus on high-end night life contrasts with the biker gangs portrayed in The Lost and Damned, whilst giving us a lot of new gameplay possibilities."
Rockstar has also announced Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City, a disc-based release that will include both The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. This disc will hit retail this fall, exclusively for Xbox 360. It will have a price of $39.99 and will not require a copy of GTA IV to run.

I can definitely see these things in the DLC:
-Actually being able to go in clubs
-Being able to choose how much you drink
-Picking up women in clubs
-Possibly a dance minigame?

Don't forget the Fight Club Side Mission, Luis has links with the Underground Fight Club and some code for it was found in The Lost and Damned under the ep2 section.

We had The City of the Hood and Blood and a Foure Leaf Clover.

The Disc is to entice people, a lot of PS3 owners who played GTA4 didn't want to rebuy the game just for the DLC, this cuts that out. As for achievements, I can't say, but if both TLAD and TBOGT both get 500GS each then I hope us live Buyers also get it. either that or it will be both 250GS combined, along with 250GS from GTA IV (Small tasks that can be done in all games) and then a further new 250GS which Live players will also get which could be more small tasks that can be done in both games.

Will be buying it of course, can't wait to play it. Think it would be pretty exciting to play something like a Fight Club mini-game would be fun, like lilb said. Hopefully turn out better than Air Hockey from TLAD, couldn't stand it :D

I just remembered actually, Bernie Crane also meets Gay Tony and Luis at one point, and this is during The Lost and Damned, if you call the bug up near the end of the game you hear Bernie on the phone to someone talking about how he met them in a club and how much he liked Luis and wished Luis was Gay.

You seem to not look around the net much. Just this morning i stumbled onto a PETITION just because no one wants "gay shit" on their 360. And if you even read what I said at the bottom, it'll mostly reside on what it comes with. If people see new fancy cars, tuners, weapons and that Luis isn't gay, then it might pass through them. But until they start to show content, people will continue to just see the word gay.

ok i dont know if this has already been discovered but i been playing GTA4 over again (ps3) and this time around Ive noticed how strongly all 3 stories intertwine with each other.
For example, the mission with Ray where you pick up the diamonds in the garbage truck, Lucas says the bikers stole them from some nightclub owner (i assume thats a mission in TLAD)
Jumped on the LCPD Website in game and found gay tony's details, like he owns a club called Maisonette 9 or something like that. He owns another but i cant remember the name. Anyone found these clubs? i only assume it would be somewhere as someone found the lost clubhouse in the original GTA4.

Without trying to sound like a captain obvious, its fair to say Rockstar had the DLC stories plan straight from the get-go. Which bring me to another point thats been brought up in a different section of the forums
