Nice seems like they've learnt their lessons.
But they're only saying that though, doesnt mean it will implemented in the final result of the game. (i hope so though)
If the game is the same as the previous ones but with less bugs and a much more polished engine...they'll have a brilliant game on their hands.
This series is really one of the most immersive FPS's to come out.
Saying that, i ordered Clear Sky the other day, thought it would be sitting there waiting for me when i got in from work. This is not the case :(
I hope it runs alright though.
Make sure you patch before you start a new game, else it won't end well

Why is it one of them 'if you've started a new game and you use this patch you'll lose all your previously saved games' patches again?
Clear Sky is alot more resource intensive than shadow of chernobyl is just so you know, even on my i7 920 and 6GB DDR3 it won't run at maximum detail still with my 9600 GT, I will be getting a GTX 260 soon and gonna try it again later.

Might be, but the main reason is once you save a game with a old version. There will be some inconsistencies with the savegame file, which can lead to unforeseen problems with unusual bugs and errors.
The most bugfree game is on 1.5.07 or whatever the latest patch is and just run a clean save from there. You don't really need to follow this, but most people i know go absolutely crazy when they have a bug nobody has seen before.

Got it today, its actually pretty fun. Although its fucking hard as fuck too. Had a bit of trouble getting it to start at first since the game seemed to think i had a graphics card with less then a 1.1 pixel shader...
Cant play it too well on the 'Enhanced Dynamic Lighting' although it runs better then i thought it would, still, too stuttery, takes ages to load. I really need a new pc to handles these games at max.
