View Full Version : Fallout 3 PS3 Ant Queen Problem...

The thing is tough enough to kill, but there's a glitch where it disappears, then reappears right near you, killing you every time. GG bethesda. Any way around this? Or a quicker way to kill it for sure?
That's pretty weird, never heard of this one before.
My first thought would be Mininuke or some Nukagrenades/mines. But if i remember correctly space is a issue where you fight it

Space is a big issue, and I literally JUST started the game.
Alright, I just took some Rad-X, spun around the sucker while hitting it's body with a baseball bat (took nearly 5 minutes). Eventually killed it, but now have minor radiation poisoning. I'll go get healed and all should be well... right? :(

u must take rad away to get the radiation poisoning out of u if not it will decrease some of your stats until u handle the problem.

Yeah there's a doctor in Megaton or whatever it's called, I'll go get healed there. I can't find any more Rad Aways, I already used one :\

The best tactic for Fallout 3 is make a stockpile of ammo. It has no weight so you can carry as much as you want. Even if you pick up ammo for a gun you don't have, you might find that gun lying around somewhere. I have rules in Fallout 3.
Never go into the wasteland unless you have full health.
Always have at least 10 stim-paks.
Carry piece of ammo you find.
Have a great close up weapon like a shotgun.
Have a great long distance weapon like a sniper rifle.
Always plan out your route and stick to that route.
Never eat radiated food. Use health packs only.
If you follow these rules, you should do well in Fallout 3.

I have to eat radiated food for now, since there are no stim-paks or anything around the areas I'm in. When I played on PC I ended up with so much ammo and stim-paks, but I'm playing on hardest now. Can't find any health or ammo anymore =P

I stockpiled so many chems and ammo it was ridiculous. On my main save I think I have something like 300 stimpaks or more.
But yea I don't remember much about that queen ant fight, but I don't remember it being all that difficult, I was only on normal however. Also if you do the wasteland survival guide quest you can get a perk that helps you regenerate your limbs when you have rad poisioning

Help the Deputy, get a house in megaton. Buy a medical station thing (can't remember what it's called). And you have a heal or remove radiation option that never runs out.
