Do you write your dreams down? I mean like, write an essay or something of the sort about a single dream that you found interest in.
I do, and it is weird and interesting to look back on them and wonder what the hell would 'cause you to dream of such a thing. No way I'd know why I'd dream of what I've seen. Well... maybe... :D
I've only been able to remember clearly and write down 3 detailed dreams in the past 3 or so months.
I would like to hear about peoples dreams. I'll share mine a bit later, I'm too lazy to put them up in here at the moment.
:lynk:
Update:
I've written three dreams up so far on my deviant art.
I'm actually putting them into a series called
"Dream Cloud".

If you wanna read some crazy sh**. I think these may be enjoyable. Maybe not.

About two years i had a few weeks where i had awesome weird dreams, that i could remember perfectly and even quote things people had said in it. I wrote them down and saved them in a text file on another computer though so i cant post them atm.

I've never done that before, but it sounds interesting. I have all sorts of very strange dreams that are worth writing down. I don't even no where they come from.

The biggest puzzle about my dreams is that in them, things seem solid and colors are vivid (as are the physical feelings). Whereas in the waking hours, solid masses seem only half there at the most, and the entire world seems flimsy, bleak, and overall quite dreary. The only experiences that remain the same whether it is dream or reality are my emotions, they remain constant and intense.
Its beginning to be quite troubling to me, I grip a desk in a dream and it feels there, but I punch the wall in waking life and I feel as though the matter composing my hands should simply pass straight through the matter composing the wall as if it weren't even there.
Overall my dreams are disjointed sequences of random and entirely uncorrelated events. That is except for the brief few that decide to form a cohesive plot that, upon my awakening, leaves me feeling either full of joy or misery. I have had dreams that I fucking experience several days later (only brief passing seconds, but they do happen) as if they are some kind of premonition. I have had dreams that give me a nagging sense that things are going to change on a global scale very soon, and others that leave me with a nagging sense of future importance. I honestly wish a technology would come along that would allow me to record all the sights and sounds and feelings of my dreams so that others may experience them. Granted there are a few I wish to keep private.

I hate when I dream really interesting, exciting, or otherwise memorable dreams and when I wake up they really stand out and I tell myself to remember it because it was awesome in some way. A mere hour or two later and I can only remember vague details or just the emotions I felt during the dream. Really quite annoying sometimes. I wish I had the patience to write down all my interesting dreams cause some are awesome and when trying to recall them later I know I often make shit up to fill in the gaps in my memory and it never seems quite right.

I'd like to read 'em, if you wouldn't mind posting them when you feel like it.

It's cool to write them down, as detailed and as soon as possible after you've had them. Dreams are pretty hard explain, for sure. But I've read that any faces or maybe details you've seen are sometimes from people and other structures that you wouldn't remember as you would a regular memory. It would be stored real deep where it's not so reachable. My thought on it, at least. Just thinking about the subject.

Majority of the time, I'd assume people would have abstract patterns of dreams. It's only when I wake up from a dream, and go back to sleep within a few minutes, they actually manage to stay together. Together as if they weren't separated in the first place by my awakening.
The thought of technology being able to visually capture your dreams, it would be extremely interesting. I would think you would be able to make full movies out of them. Since you dream every time you sleep, but I guess the mind purges them sometimes so you couldn't remember them at all when awakened. Very interesting. And Yes, I agree that some dreams definitely should be kept secret. :D Secret ones, I don't even write about.

Even writing down little bits of your dream on scrap paper soon after your dream might actually help keeping those dreams. I did that a couple days ago, it helped me quite a bit, because I spent total of an hour and a half or so writing the whole thing in as much detail as I could.

Every dream I have remembered, I remember thinking about what was in that dream earlier in the day. Even if it was super random, I remember thinking about it at some point the day before.

That's pretty odd. I don't really think that has happened to me before. Possible that I didn't notice it. Hmm...
Cool.
Updated the first post.

ever had a sexual dream?
In folkore, A Succubus (plural succubi) is a demon who takes the form of a highly attractive woman to seduce men,[1] in dreams to have sexual intercourse, according to the medieval European legend. Its male counterpart is the incubus. They draw energy from the men to sustain themselves, often until the point of exhaustion or death of the victim.
An incubus (plural incubi) is a demon in male form supposed to lie upon sleepers, especially women, in order to have sexual intercourse with them, according to a number of mythological and legendary traditions.

I wrote this a while back for poops and giggles. I didn't actually dream it though, I just want to be a writer. This is a draft by the way, there are mistakes, obviously.
INT. FANCY HALL. NIGHT.
A sign looms over a brown wooden door - it reads "fire exit" - the door is covered with large stickers... "Do not use in case of emergency", "this door is alarmed".
DANNY, wearing a nice suit, stares at the fire exit sign. People are milling about through a lavished white hall; it appears to be some sort of benefit, the people are dressed to suit the room. Appetizers are catered around the room by waiters; olives plucked by toothpicks and the likes of salmon on caviar with fancy crackers.
The room is shrouded by inaudible chat. The people are talking to each other, nobody is saying anything important or necessary. A lady in a stylish black dress begins to speak to Danny before being cut off by a tremendous roar that sounds alike an approaching jet engine. The people of the room begin to notice the engine approaching and stop speaking to one another - all chat diminishes. Nobody reacts as if the noise is piercing, everyone is intrigued by it. It becomes more and more intense.
Just as the engine noise reaches it's highest extreme - creating a low, dull sound, it cuts, vanishes. As does everyone else, except Danny, in the room. The room is still perfectly neat, Danny looks around, there is nobody to be found. Danny looks as if to say, "Where did they all go?" although he doesn't say it. Confused and bewildered, he looks around, beginning to sweat and pant. Danny spies a kitchen in the distance - a gray metallic door, a black silhouetted face behind the diamond window peers out at Danny.
Danny begins to slowly walk towards the door, he is about 20 meters from it. His shoes tap against the white, marble ground, echoing throughout the hall. About 10 meters from the kitchen door it suddenly swings open, although it happens in slow motion - a gust of wind flies out from the door, once again in full motion - the silhoutted man is nowhere to be seen. Danny fights forward against the constant wind. Not struggling, but beginning to drag his legs behind him.
INT. FANCY HALL'S KITCHEN. NIGHT.
Danny reaches the door and stands in the frame. He looks around - kitchen appliances, ovens, cooktops, etc - there is no man in the kitchen. Suddenly, the wind stops, the door swings shut and Danny is pushed by it into the kitchen. Danny looks at angrily and pushes it open, exiting his brief tour of the kitchen.
INT. FANCY HALL. NIGHT.
A slick, yet rugged, Italian male, in a brilliantly made custom suit, stands in the middle of the hall - this is MARCO. Danny notices him and smiles. Marco speaks to Danny in a deep, unnatural voice.
Marco
"Come here, son!"
Marco waves Danny over, Danny nods and, obeying orders, begins to walk towards Marco. As Danny nears Marco, he turns his continuous wave to a halt sign. Danny obeys orders and stops walking over to him. Danny's smile diminishes. Marco's eyes turn an evil shade of green. Marco clicks and disappears. Danny's eyes grow large with shock.
A crackling can be heard from behind Danny. He turns in shock to see a fire enveloping the hall from the kitchen, quickly creeping towards where Danny is standing.
Danny turns and runs towards where Marco had been standing, he runs fast but the room looms on. Running passed Marco's previous position Danny heads towards the fire escape which he had been looking at earlier in his evening.
Danny reaches the fire escape and pushes on the metal bar that is meant to trigger the alarm, turn on the fire hoses and open the door. The alarm triggers, the sprinklers do not turn on and the door does not open. Danny bangs on the door furiously.
Danny
(frustrated)
"Let me out!"
His frustration quickly turns in to a state of desperation.
DANNY
(desperate)
"Help me! The door's stuck! Let me out! I need to get out!"
Danny loses hope. His knees give way and he falls to the floor in front of the door. The fire engulfs him in smoke and blackness. He speaks in one last bout of desperation.
DANNY
(softly; desperate)
"I need to get out."
It implies that the character wants to change his life; all dreams in television and film obviously mean something. I find it extraordinary when dreams are shown on film. The best example I can think of is in various episodes of the Sopranos, many different characters dream, it shows their innermost thoughts and intentions - it's amazing.
