Looks awesome, and it said there's outdoor facilities such as shopping, you can get a moat around your house and go fishing. And also on the video it shows a fire from a barbecue, which looks much more realistic and better than the previous games.
I might actually get this on PC instead of PS3 cos it will probably be easy to manage using the mouse.
I'm going to get this too because it looks really good. I wasn't aware it was being released for consoles though.

Console versions are probably different than the PC version like they've always been. Not sure though.

I never got around to getting Sims 2, despite thinking it looked quite good. I might get Sims 3 instead when it comes out though. According to that systems requirements testing site, my PC is more than capable of running it.

If I get this, i'm going to wait a while. There will be loads of expansions by 2012. I like the customisation though. The trait thing is good too. I like how it doesn't load/skip when your character is travelling.
I was under the impression that the main thing this new game was going for was microtransactions rather than big packs on disc. Maybe there will be both.

As much as I would like to get The Sims 3, but the site for system requirements says that I don't have enough CPU speed or something, while everything else is good enough to run it.

Always preferred Sims1 to Sims2, probably because the house building was just easier, not that Sims2 was hard or anything, but Sims1 was just a fun game to waste time infront of. Got old quick though.
Still it's a pretty remarkable game.
By the way. A real copy of the Sims 3 was.. placed on the internet.
2 weeks early :yay:

It can’t get any better than this for gamers: The Sims 3 video game has been leaked on torrents two weeks before its official release. This is just unbelievable, as a few weeks ago, the an unfinished version of the Wolverine movie was leaked on torrents
about 30 days before its premiere. According to Electronic Arts and Maxis, the game will officially be released on June 2, and for the moment none of them reacted on The Sims 3 leak on torrents.
We can say that hackers and pirates have won another battle against publishers and distributors, and this will have to hurt EA a lot. For the moment we can’t tell for sure if the game is real as the packed/unpacked leaks are sized somewhere near 5GB. The small size of the game makes us think that this is not the actual game, but maybe it’s an unfinished version of The Sims 3 life simulation game.
Due to the fact that The Sims 3 leaked on the Internet, the sales of the game will probably go down dramatically even if this is just an unfinished version. Should we trust hackers and pirates? Will piracy ever come to an end? Well, it seems like many users trust pirates, and piracy won’t end too soon.
P.S. From what I’ve read, the game is real and many are playing it right now.

runs really nice, even on the higher time speeds. Lots of nice changes.
The best one I like is the sims current thoughts. After have a good nights sleep and an early shower and breakfast the sim will feel refreshed, full, and squeky clean, this all affects mood. I'm glad they did this. I guess they tried to do this with 'comfort' and 'environment' which are no longer needs now (thank god). tis good!

Bullshit. Wolverine did amazingly on the first day. I think they racked up atleast $20mil on the first day.
Also, screen looks good.

I laughed so hard at that screenie.
Gonna get this, even though System Requirement Labs says my CPU wont be able to run it. *shrugs*
Worth a try, Sims 2 ran smooth as shit, though I know the whole neighbourhood will be running at once.

This game is REALLY solid, everything is really thought out. More things I've like from playing:
-The game runs really well. considering the whole town is alive, this game runs better than both the sims 1 and 2. There's no annoying loading peds loading to walk up and down your lot like in 1 + 2. The engine must be reworked because I can run at the full time speed with no 'stuttering'. about time!
- When you go walking about your sim will have a button saying 'go home'. this is really nice if you just wonder about
- Social interactions for your given traits. These are real nice. I've got friendly and 'good sense of humor'. SO i get nice greetings and many funny branches like 'mock celebrity, tell funny story' etc. I can imagine the 'evil' trait having some real fun ones.
- The moods system is excellent. I can get a good nights sleep (which gives you a 10 hour bonus to mood) a nice early bath, a good breakfast (all these get mood bonuses...like they would in reall ife.)
- Work system is nice so far. It's the standard car pool system, but you could also walk to work (maybe even earlier than normal, ive yet to try). But each day you can set a work level or activity. Im on the criminal track and I can 'practice illicit activities' which gets my fitness up, or coherse will fellow conmen lol. It's a cool system. I can work hard on a good day, or if my lil man is tired I can take it easy. Nice!
Only thing that's annoyed me so far is the paper boy like everygame, I wish you could quit him!

nope. thought the game was quite stable on my part! I hear if it crashes during saving, the savegame will be corrupted. eep!
Piggus

Hmmm... Weird. I updated to the latest Nvidia drivers and it hasn't happened yet. I did get that savegame error though. Thankfully it didn't corrupt my save. Just made it so I couldn't save until I restarted the game. :/
I might download this, but looking at some comments i see alot of issues.
Crashing, savegame corruption. Somehow managing to waste 3GB Virtual Memory and kill the entire system. I'll wait for a stable crack/patch

So like many others here, I am trying it out before I buy it in two weeks... So far so good, Really stable, fun game, But theres a few noticeable missing objects/features (at least in this leaked version...maybe retail is different?) that would have been nice:
-No jacuzzi
-No diving board
- No diagonal or curved pool tools.
-Roof textures can't be customized with the create-a-style tools
- Neither can ceilings
-Clothes aren't purchased - instead you select "plan outfit" from any wardrobe, for free.
-Many public buildings have no interiors. (cafes, grocery store, bookstore)
-No weather/seasonal changes (however the sun does move in the sky, changing lighting and shadows, like GTAIV)
A lot of these will probably be added on in future expansion packs
(expanded pool tools, jacuzzi, weather effects could all be added in a "seasons" expansion, for instance)
There are so many new features in this game which make all of the above look like primitive trash.
Honestly I could detail all the new features I'm discovering as I play, but I think you have to play it yourself. If you loved The Sims 1 and 2, you will love this.

This game is really nice i love playing it and have for quite some time now.
It's also cool how they can come back as ghost.
The Politics career is really fun getting to throw parties to earn campaign money and sucking up to your boss.

I'm gonna say this like I'm proud of it (); I played a lot of Sims 2. For one, you could buy cars in the buy mode before. Second, seeing as there's no loading anymore, it's another aspect to the gameplay. This and you can control one family like in a story mode.. this is what I have found out from playing for an hour..

My torrent won't budge from 0% anyone else had this problem?
The only problem I'm having is forcing myself to stop playing.
I'm pretty surprised this thread is still around, it's full of warez talk. Even in the CS a thread about warez isn't open for this long.

i just bought Sims 3 but i had the torrent and if you still do you should get rid of it and buy the game because the actual game is way better than the torrent and you can download Riverview (another town) glad i didn't keep it (torrent) or i would be missing out.

all you peoples talking about torrents and what-not, I'm borrowing it off my friend once she installs it :D
I'd buy it, its just that I haven't played it in a week and don't intend to. It was great for 2-3 days, but once you've completed your characters life goal, there isn't much to do.
