I'd love to get The Sims 3, but I'm more of a console gamer, but I have heard that it's better on PC. Anyone say why PC version is better than console version?

I might wait til it's out on PS3, or if it looks better on PC I'll get it for PC. I love The Sims games.

The Console versions are different games. The ports aren't the same. Plus all the addons and stuff.

I think the controls are crap for PC but its the platform that has the most content. I don't think I will be able to run it on my laptop. I will wait for the PS3 version. I like controlling it like you did in the sims 2. 3rd person. I liked that. I will definatly be buying this. Will the console versions be released at the same time as the PC version or will they be released like a couple months later?

The majority of the time, if a Sims game is released off a PC/Mac, it's crap. It's the bare-bones game with a story mode. Not nearly as much fun as the PC version.

Me, I'm a Sims addict, so I'll be picking this up on day one. I can't wait!

The Sims 2 on consoles was actually really good I think. PSP versions though, they are the boring ones with weird storys and less simulation. I remember owning the Sims 2 on PSP and I didn't even get to own a house or anything. Its sucked. This has potentiol to reinvent the sims on consoles. I want console versions to have upstairs this time. More choice of vehicles. It will probally have these things though.
The sims gets released on everything. If there is an iphone version then there sure as hell will be console versions.

I'm not sure whether to buy it for the PC if there's more add ons and stuff, how can I check if I can run this game? I don't have a clue with stuff like this..

well if it comes out for PS3 i will get it certainly. but if it only for PC i will not because my PC is crap. My Videocard is Nvidia 6200LE, so i don't think I'll be able to play it. Is it coming for consoles? i love the sims series. Love the atmosphere in the game with the music

As good as the Sims games are, I am currently undecided on this one... But I voted yes simply because my thoughts on getting it are leaning towards it.

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work, but may run comparatively slower. Standalone cards that are installed in vanilla PCI slots (not PCIe or PCIx or AGP), such as some GeForce FX variants, will perform poorly. Intel integrated chipsets featuring underclocked parts will not perform adequately.

Integrated chipsets such as the ATI Xpress and the NVIDIA TurboCache variants will have low settings selected, but should run satisfactorily.

Please note that attempting to play the game using video hardware that isn't listed above may result in reduced performance, graphical issues or cause the game to not run at all.

The NVIDIA GeForce FX series is unsupported under Vista.
