Thats right! The very first public preview of Relese Candidate 2 is here!
Vice City Online has been completely rewritten for RC2 and beyond. VCO has been written differently to inject multiplayer into Vice City more efficiently and with added ease!
Lua will still be the scripting language, so all current scripts will still be able to be run on servers. New features for scripting are also planned, so keep your eyes open for that!
I can only say that you'll be blown away when you see RC2, here is the first screenie and more to come when we want to show you some awesome new features!
In this image, notice the new chatbox and input box.
Also, the bug in RC1 that occurs when players look behind causing all players around them to look around has been fixed. Another bug that has been fixed with this new chatbox is the overlapsing text on numerous lines in the chatbox. No more double lines!
So, here it is! Enjoy.

New Image!
This image shows the HP bars that have been implemented. You may be aware they look somewhat similar to those in MTASA, but I can assure you, that is only coincidence. After lengthy discussion between myself and ReGeX, we decided to go with the same theme for HP/Armor bars as we did for the chatbox. The transparancy was my idea, as it fitted along with the chatbox. The outcome shocked us both, as it looks clean and professional, and looking like MTASA. We did not intend it to look like their bars, we coded them from scratch, and many different styles were used to gain the final outcome. If you have any issues regarding the similarity to MTASA, please do speak, I can answer any questions you may have. If you wish to look at the hardcoding for the HP bar similarities, please feel free to look it up, because nothing has been masked, everything, bar publically available libraries, have been written from scratch in RC2.
So I hope you enjoy this image. It shows the HP bars and nametag. Please note, the name tags aren't actually from RC2 in that image. I did not take any new screenies showing both, but the end results looking very similar to the nametags. The nametags are based on the chat font, and the size is just slighty bigger. I'll post an actual image of the nametags when I'm next testing.
