Cars with manual transmissions

Is this possible to make the cars have a manual transmission? I would love to be able to shift gears especially when racing. It seems like this would be a possibility for a ASI mod or even put in a trainer.

Guys I found this by searching, not exactly sure what it is or how to input it, but you modders might. Have a look on how to create a manual transmission.
