on the VCO broswer i click servers and connect to one it opens my GTA VC but then it doesnt connect me to the server

Do you have .net Framework installed on your PC (VCO Needs it) and did you install VCO to your main Vice City directory? (Usually C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/Grand Theft Auto Vice City/)
If you answer no to any of them, try installing .net framework from the link provided at www.gtagaming.com/vco
If you didn't install to your Vice City directory, uninstall and reinstall to that location.
