In computing, Lua (pronounced /ˈluː.a/ LOO-ah) is a lightweight, reflective, imperative and procedural programming language, designed as a scripting language with extensible semantics as a primary goal. The name means ‘moon’ in Portuguese. It has enjoyed great popularity in the videogames industry and is known for having a simple yet powerful C API.
