View Full Version : The most awesome thing I've come across in Chinatown Wars so far...
It's scratchcards. I found a store selling scratch cards and it's so much fun just to scratch off the silver and see what you win.
I can't wait to find out what other touch screen mini games there are in here :)

They're addictive, wasted like $100 on those things, nice mini-game, something that's real, should be boring, but it's strangely not.
That's awesome.

I had to make sure I scratched off every last bit of the silver covering the winning symbols. It was good fun.

It's just like the classic 2D and 3D GTA games, which is why I like it better than GTA4 :P
Yes, that's what's making me like it so much. It's not as serious as GTA IV, and it's not as complex as San Andreas.
The more I play the more I'm inclined to say that this is my favourite GTA game since Vice City.

The one I bought them from is Downtown Broker, South of the Petrol Station on the Algonquin/Dukes Express way, just stay on that road and you should see a building with an entry path, that should be the shop.

this sounds so fun, but i dont have money
I discovered a new scratchcard shop. This one sells cards for $10 and $15 instead of $4 each. The prizes were good, I won $200 from one kind of card quite a bit and the other one has a top prize of a free house!
I want that house, but I spent so much money on cards. Must resist buying any more.

Well you could always make tons of cash off the Drug minigames then afterwards using them to play scratch cards :)

my Chinatown Wars came with a card that for some reason gave me $10,000 instantly, so that and some smart drug deals have lead me to almost instantly have over $20,000 :P
So I'll probably blow it all on lottery...

You can really see why microsoft paid rockstar 50Million for the DLC, I'm considering buying a DS for this game.

I'm addicted to scratch cards too, there's also the ones from ammunation that give you guns or armor.

Chinatown Wars is MUCH better than VCS. That game was terrible.
I always seem to win back the money I spend on the scratch cards. I usually just scratch the ones with the houses until I feel I'm losing more than I put in (which doesn't happen that often since they cost $15 and I win the $100 second prize quite often), and then I just do the cards with the $1 000 main prize or a few drug deals and start over. I already won a hotel suite.

Scratch card shops are all over but they don't all have the same cards.
There's a safehouse in Star Junction that you can only get by winning it off the "I'm Rich!" scratch card.
Also if you're hard up for cash and need health, armor, or weapons (and don't have an items map handy) you can win these on some scratch cards.
It's a little slow but you seem to make a long-term profit on scratch cards.

I've spent about $1,000 on scratch cards and won over $3,000 from them - including the $1,000 prize, and several $200 prizes from the "$15 I'm Rich" cards. takes time, but it's fun - i'm really wanting to win the House though under $8,000 worth of I'm Rich cards lol. I have over $300,000 from drug deals, so it's really chump change play buying these things lmao.
