Question about Chinatown Wars

So when everyone was asking about III era characters in IV, the answer was no, because most of them were dead. Well Chinatown Wars is in the IV rendition of Liberty City, so does that mean there will be characters from IV and the Lost and Damned in Chinatown Wars?

Chinatown Wars is set in the IV-era, there are already links and information available on the characters invold in the Police Database in GTA IV.

i havent read up much on it since I don't have a DS and won't be getting it
but do you know if it takes place before or after the GTA IV and TLAD stories

Seems like before as Ammunation has yet to be shut down by the Mayor.

I was thinking it'd be after IV because you don't have access to Ammunation at first, hinting that maybe it reopens sometime during Chinatown Wars.

it seems pretty interesting and I'd love to see what new part of the GTA IV era is revealed

I hope the Loss of Alderney is explained, they can't brush that off, unless Huang is scared to leave LC for some reason.
