Increasing Clay and Terry's toughness?

How do I go about doing this? Get them in battles with me?

Can they die or no?

i'm not sure if they can die, since they're pretty vital to the game's story. but yeah to increase their toughness you have to take them to gunfights and whatnot

once u get to a certain point in the story u get the gang wars to do and each one of those will increase their toughness
i don't believe they can die but other "generic" gang members can

In order to increase their toughness:

1. Ride with them (1% increase after a few minutes)
2. Successfully complete ay mission with them (~10% increase per successful attempt)

Or just do Gang Wars, they always tag along for them and some are pretty damn easy, especially the target car ones, just ride up with them and blast the car with the sawn off a few times and that's it, war complete, some cash to pick up and minimum risk for your other bikers.
