I saw this as well and don't know what to make of it. I'll probably still be up for another couple of hours so I can independently verify but I see know reason that he wouldn't be telling the truth. It'd be nice if R* sent out an e-mail or updated their website to reflect the official news because it hasn't been spread and I don't think people are going to be happy when they come online and find it's not there.

We had literally an hour left to go and they all of a sudden decide they're going to make us wait 2 extra hours?

i dont think its true. that would mean that its out right now and from what ive seen, its not :P maybe he just got the time a bit mixed up

No, you've got it mixed up.
Currently it is 1:28 AM Central time.
Major Nelson said it was going to be released: 2am PST = 5am EST = 10am GMT
2 am PACIFIC time.
So, 2 AM Pacific, 3 AM Mountain, 4 AM Central, and 5 AM Eastern.
They're actually making you wait a whopping two extra hours, on a time of day most normal people in the US are asleep? Monsters.

I read on another forum that someone was able to redeem their code (the card doohickeys) NOW and it started downloading, but its not up on the marketplace yet, so try redeeming your code if you have one.

It's 1.78GB in total so make room if you're tight on space.

Rockstar screwed up IMO. Or at least, they were correct except it didnt say "If you have a code."
5am EST is the normal time that XBL updates their servers each and every day. Its on there now, but its not up on the marketplace wide yet. The code allows you to backdoor directly to it. Even if Microsoft did the update at 3am EST, it still wouldnt show up immediately. Its just like when a website does a major update, it takes time to propagate down.

Yeah, get upset over two extra hours. Real smart, guys. You consider they might've been ironing out anything that could've been a potential problem with the DLC? Be grateful you've got Moneybox 360's even, and you're getting a chance to play it. Unless the same thing happens again like with LCS and VCS on the PSP/PS2 down the road somewhere, other people who've only got access to PS3's are missing out ENTIRELY on it.
