Good news, X-boxers. The multiplayer for GTA IV expansion "The Lost and Damned" is going free -- for a bit. To celebrate the release of the downloadable content, anyone who owns GTA IV or downloads it, will be able to free-sample the game's LIVE multiplayer, starting Tuesday, February 17 at 9:00 am. This continues until Sunday, February 22. That's literally (six) days of free LIVE, man.
To make things more super-special, Xbox and Rockstar are putting on a week of special events. This includes the chance to take on Hip Hop DJ and producer Statik Selektah in a special ‘Game with Fame’ event. You can also play the people behind the Grand Theft Auto franchise in a ‘Game with Rockstar’ multiplayer event, sweepstake promotions, and an "Xbox All Nighter."
XBox Owner: Fate has bestowed upon me a great gift: Both an expansion and the chance to try it free! Surely, no one is as fortunate as Xbox owners. I prefer the 360 console over all others -- especially the PS3 -- which, in my opinion, is inferior.
PS3 Owner: You, sir, are mistaken. While you may receive a few days of free multiplayer, PlayStation multiplayer is always free. Your allegiance to the 360 is tragic and I have heard certain distressing rumors concerning the fidelity of your mother.
